You’ll just need a little bit of luck to find one.

Almost every ‘three-star’ rarity card is emblazoned with stunning artwork, with the three focal Pokemon from Genetic Apex getting their own Special Illustration Rares. Plus, there’s the excellent Pikachu card that you can get for signing up and exploiting Pokemon TCG Pocket’s free 14-day trial.

But, while those cards are great, arguably the best-looking card in the whole of TCG Pocket is one that’s not advertised by the developers, and is one that can’t be pulled from packs.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Hidden Mew

If you’ve followed Pokemon for any period of time, you’ll be familiar with the slogan “Gotta Catch ’em All”, which is precisely what you’ll need to do to get your hands on this secret Mew card.

Upon collecting one of every card from the Kanto Pokedex, the Pokemon from Blue and Red, players will be rewarded with the new Mew, which sees the little pink Pokemon floating through one of the game’s many environments.

There are a couple of methods to complete this feat quickly. Firstly, you’ll want to fill out as much of your collection as possible by opening packs. Open your free daily packs, and then earn some Shop Tokens by battling, which can be exchanged in the now slightly more expensive shop for Pack Hour Glasses. These timers can then be used to help you open more packs.

Once you’ve got to a point at which you’re mostly pulling duplicates from the packs you’re opening, use your Pack Points, which you conveniently get from opening packs, to fill in the blanks. It’s a healthy little cycle.

If you’ve already got the Mew and are looking for an even more difficult collection challenge, why not try to get all of the cards in a different language?

Experience the fun of collecting Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards with Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, an upcoming game for iOS and Android devices from Creatures Inc., the original developers of the Pokémon TCG, and DeNA Co., Ltd.

In this game, you will be able to open two booster packs every day at no cost. You can collect digital cards featuring nostalgic artwork from the past as well as brand-new cards that are exclusive to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.

Be on the lookout for new “immersive cards,” which will make you feel as though you’ve leapt into the world of the card’s illustration.
