The horror movies that have been released so far in 2024 have told terrifying stories about creepy grins, a killer clown at Christmas, and a scary drug that promises youth and beauty. After watching Smile 2, Terrifier 3, and The Substance, horror fans will be interested in a fun upcoming movie starring Lucy Hale.
The trailer for F Marry Kill is out now, which introduces the main character, her friends, and the villain at the heart of the story. Eva Vaugh (Lucy Hale) is a fan of the true crime genre, and Eva realizes she could be dating a serial killer when she has three love interests. Although it’s entertaining to check out horror remakes, it’s also great to try to see all the new original releases each year, and F Marry Kill puts a unique, modern, and technology-based spin on a traditional slasher tale.

Time Cut Ending, Explained
Time Cut is a new horror movie on Netflix about one teenager’s search for her sister’s killer when she finds herself back in 2003.
While there are several horror movies about scary technology, like Come Play, which is about an evil app for children, or Countdown about an app predicting people’s deaths,F Marry Kill is about someone who uses a dating app and ends up inviting evil into their life. If the app itself was evil, it could come off as corny, so this works. When one friend tells Eva that she should “get back out there” and sign up for dating apps, her other friend says it’s unnerving since there is a serial killer out there. Eva takes her friend’s advice and then finds herself in a dark situation.
Written by Meghan Brown, Ivan Diaz, and Dan Scheinkman and directed by Laura Murphy, F Marry Kill also stars Virginia Gardner, Bethany Brown, Samer Salem, Brooke Nevin, Haley Victoria Hunt, Brendan Morgan, RJ Featherstonhaugh and Jedidah Goodacre.
Lucy Hale has starred in several other horror movies, including the Blumhouse horror movies Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island. Her other recent films include The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, Puppy Love, A Nice Girl Like You, and The Hating Game. Hale is best known for playing creative and sweet teenager Aria Montgomery on the popular teen drama Pretty Little Liars.
F Marry Kill also features a new take on the classic slasher villain: the Swipe Right Killer. The idea of a killer using an app to meet their intended victims is horrifying. What makes this even more unnerving is the fact that these types of stories have actually happened. One example is The Dating Game killer who is depicted in the Netflix movie Woman of the Hour, which Anna Kendrick directed and stars in.
F Marry Kill will be released in theaters on December 6th, 2024, and horror fans can check out the movie and find out the identity of the Swipe Right Killer.
