How To Get More Health Potions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
In addition to the vast world players will explore and the story-changing decisions they make in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you’ll also need to master combat – both in terms of offense and defense. Thankfully, should the oncoming advances of the game’s many and varied enemies slip through your defenses, there is almost always an option to tend to your wounds.
Depending on which difficulty you play, combat can have a significant impact on the gameplay experience, and will test your ability to attack, block, dodge, and even effectively using your skills and those of your companions. However, should the enemy become overwhelming, players will benefit from knowing how to heal your character in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as this could be the difference between victory and defeat on the battlefield.

How To Heal in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
With combat being such an integral part of the Dragon Age: The Veilguard experience, it is important to know what options you have when it comes to healing your character’s wounds. There are three main ways this can be achieved; with potions, skills, or companion skills.
How To Heal With Potions
The simplest way to heal your character in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is through the use of potions. By default, these can be used at any time by pressing the right button on the D-Pad on console or the R key on PC. Rook will have a limited number of potions at their disposal, which you can track at the bottom-left of the screen, alongside the health bar.
How To Heal With Skills
In addition to potions, players can also tend to their wounds through the use of Rook’s skills. Depending on which skills you upgrade as your character works their way towards achieving the game’s maximum level, there is the opportunity to apply healing skills that can be consumed like potions, but with the ability to recharge. This option is more readily available for those who select a Mage as their class.
How To Heal With Companion Skills
Depending on which skills you upgrade as you improve your relationship with each of The Veilguard‘s companions, most of your potential party members will have access to a skill that can restore your health when other options have been exhausted. These will come in the form of the Soothing Potion and Replenish skills.
The former can be used by the likes of Neve, Bellara, and Emmrich, for example, whereas Replenish can be added to the arsenals of Harding or Lucanis. To use them, simply open the quick-select menu for skills (R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox) and select the Soothing Potion/Replenish option, which are easily identifiable by the heart symbol and green color.
This is only possible if you have the skills assigned to your companions. If you can’t find them, simply open the Character menu, navigate the character tabs until you find the companion you want to equip the skill with, and assign it to one of their skill slots.
How To Find Health Potions
Regardless of which class you pick in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there will always be the option to use potions to replenish your HP as you progress through the game. However, your supply will be limited, so it is important to stock up at any given opportunity to avoid getting caught without any way of healing yourself.
Health potions are a common resource and can be easily identified by the green vases they are stored in. Whenever you see a green vase in any of the locations you visit in The Veilguard, simply attack and break it open to collect the potion inside. If you already have the maximum number of potions allowed, you’ll either leave the extra one where it is, or immediately use it to restore any lost HP..
