For this battle, you will focus on your offensive Battle Buddies, but to make sure they can beat Tyrannos quickly, you should equip the Fairy Skills that will increase their attack power. Some powerful United Forms will also aid you throughout the Ancient Glen Maze.
Recommended Battle Preparations
To clear the Ancient Glen Maze, Close-Range Attackers and Long-Range Attacker Buddy types are recommended, so make sure to prioritize deploying at least 15 of both Fangs and Arkies, while these might be enough, some Formation Buddies like Turnies can also be helpful during the boss battle. Some recommended Fairy Skills for your Buddies are recommended below.
Fairy Skill |
Description |
---|---|
Infighting |
Your Fangs will deal more damage when your Farmagia is near to the boss. |
Anger of All |
As the boss battle is tough, a lot of your Buddies may end up dying, so this Fairy Skill increases the attack for the remaining Buddies depending on the number of Buddies you lost. |
Blitz Charge |
The Unite Blitz attacks will damage Tyrannos greatly, so acquiring this Fairy is worth it for the battle. |
Wild Vision |
You will have a higher critical rate after you trigger a Unite Blitz, which will be quite often during this boss battle. |
Fang of Sirius |
Following up on Wild Vision, a higher critical damage will severely damage an opponent. |
Focus on growing the Research Buddies using the seeds obtained on your Maze Ventures. At this point of the game, you will have a few United Forms unlocked, too: Use Wind Arkie for your Arkies, Misti Pengi for Fangs, and Rock Golem for Turnies.
How To Beat Tyrannos
Tyrannos is a frightening-looking boss who will completely catch you off-guard if you are unprepared to block its attacks. You really need to give it your all until the end, as Tyrannos won’t back off even with its little HP. Your main focus to beat it should be to focus on depleting the KO Gauge as fast as you can, to finish it off with Legion Attack or Fusion.
It will bash his head forward which you can block with Perfect Guard. Sometimes, it will follow up with one hit after another, so brace for blocking the attack. When you see a white glow, the boss will prepare to jump on you, and it will take a step back, so keep an eye out for this attack and Guard at the right moment.
If you want to play it safe, you should focus on using your Arkies more, but when you feel like it’s safer to go near to it, we recommend you to deploy some Fangs and Turnies as well.
Deploy your formation buddies to attack the boss from behind or from the sides, on its legs. Beware, as the boss may also hit you with his legs by smashing it to the ground twice in a row. Always be prepared to press perfect guard when Tyrannos makes such sudden movements.
Until now, you might have had the impression that the battle is easier, but Tyrannos will surprise you as soon as little HP is left on the boss. You will see that menacing red glow, and it will shoot a laser beam from its mouth. The attack has a lot of range, so running away from it is not recommended, instead, you should trigger a Unite Counter here.
