HMBLE are the new Brawl Stars world champions after a dominant performance throughout the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024. The team faced many challenges, however, they were able to take down some of the favorites to claim their maiden title after a great season.
The Brawl Stars World Finals happened at the Super Fest in Helsinki alongside the finals for Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, making it the first time the three Supercell games were played together. In Clash of Clans, Synchronic Gaming sealed the title while Mohamed Light made history as a two-time world champ at the CRL Finals.
HMBLE made the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 trophy look easy
HMBLE’s road to world champions began in March 2024 as the team revamped its roster, bringing in experienced players Bartomeu “BosS” Vadell Planisi and Bekri “Symantec” Tahiri alongside Luke “Lukii.” All three players had a disappointing 2023 season and were looking for redemption in 2024.
Immediately after their signing, it became quite clear that this was a team to look out for as they won the March EMEA Monthly Finals in the Brawl Stars Championship. EMEA is largely considered one of the toughest regions in the game, so their victory in the first season of the year had already made them a contender for the ultimate title.
The team, however, had to wait two more seasons to get their first title in the June EMEA monthly finals, where they took down the defending world champions Zeta Division in the finals.
In the World Finals, HMBLE had an easier route, winning 2-0 in group D to enter the Playoffs Stage. They kept their winning streak with comfortable victories against Pioneers and SK Gaming to make it to the Grand Finals.
In the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 – Grand Finals, they faced their biggest challenge of all: Crazy Racoon. For the unaware, the Japanese roster consists of the game’s only two-time world champion, Tensai. Alongside him were the decorated sitetampo, a 2021 World Champion and 2022 Midseason winner, and Moya, who perhaps has more victories in his career than anyone else.
However, HMBLE made it look easy with a 3-0 win over the Japanese team. With this victory, they pocketed $400,000 of the $1 million prize pool while Crazy Raccoon received a modest $200,000.
