Fortnite: Best Landing Spots

Fortnite: Best Landing Spots

Fortnite Remix is bringing back some classic POIs that players of the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 era of Fortnite may be familiar with and may have greatly missed. With most modern POIs in Fortnite acting as experimental and expansive new areas on the map, Fortnite Remix provides the nostalgia players new and old can appreciate.

Fortnite Remix: Hidden Mechanics

Fortnite is a game that’s constantly evolving, and as such, players might have missed these hidden mechanics that could see them claim Victory Royale.

Yet, nostalgia aside, what are some of the best landing spots in Fortnite Remix? After all, the map is fairly condensed, and dropping from the battle bus is a pivotal moment in any game of Battle Royale, so why not see which selection of landing spots might aid a solo player or a team?

8 Frenzy Farm

A Large and Open Farm with Limited Loot

While on paper, an area as open with little cover like Frenzy Farm doesn’t seem like an ideal landing spot, it’s in practice that it really excels. Having an open playing field where players are forced to run around a field in search of a weapon, all while being in full view of everyone else, provides a great battle ahead.

Anyone who dares to land here is going to know exactly where their enemies are, and whoever is fast enough to get a gun and some shields can head off in the direction of their hostiles and stop them from escaping.

7 Weeping Woods

Isolated Woods with Trees for Cover

Get away from the frenzy and bustle of the more populated areas on the map and head for Weeping Woods, which is surrounded by a forest of trees to keep players obscured and behind cover when they are at their most vulnerable.

Weeping Woods may seem large, but the central loot remains in the two buildings within the POI. Those who get here first can claim the loot and then hunt down stragglers that might be lurking behind the trees, just waiting to be sent back to the lobby.

6 Pleasant Park

Pleasant Park is a popular location for a variety of reasons, and one of them most certainly is nostalgia. Pleasant Park has always been a great pick, even with its introduction during Chapter 1. However, in Chapter 2 Remix, it’s worth dropping here just for the potential loot that awaits.

Fortnite: Hidden Gnome Locations (Chapter 2 Remix)

There are 10 gnomes hidden across the Fortnite Remix island, bringing back nostalgia for Chapter 2 with some pesky antics and XP rewards.

There is a great supply of chests and floor loot found within the many houses of Pleasant Park, and the houses make for great hiding spots and cover during big fights. The open soccer field in the center is also a great battleground, and the fact that there are large areas of grasslands around Pleasant Park makes it a location worth locking down.

5 Steamy Stacks

Hard to Navigate, But Easy to Escape

Steamy Stacks is an odd POI for the fact that players can get lost in the many winding rooms of this factory. However, where Steamy Stacks really benefits, is in its escape plans. Scattered around Steamy Stacks aren’t just cars to escape, or an ocean to retreat to the Yacht, but the smoke stacks themselves.

Players can jump into the smoke stacks which will allow them to glide somewhere to safety, providing the perfect in for loot, and the perfect out to avoid getting killed or to head to a new area for the action.

4 Salty Springs

A Small Area Worth Locking Down for its Position

Salty Springs is one of the more humble locations that’s returned to the island, and this small POI proves that size matters not when it comes to dropping from the battle bus. Salty Springs has everything players could need. A few houses, plenty of loot, and a good position for the storm circles.

Salty Springs benefits from being close to the Doggpound, meaning those who dared to loot at Snoop Dogg’s abode will find an army waiting for them at Salty Springs, or those who looted up and headed to the shore of the Doggpound to put the pressure on.

3 Slurpy Swamp

Plenty of Easy Heals and Shields in a Factory

Slurpy Swamp can be a bit of a risky spot to land at due to the fact that it’s surrounded by water and swampland that will make for a bad time getting away, but that’s also a benefit. With Slurpy Swamp being somewhat desolate, teams can loot here with confidence, and battle other teams depending on who knows where the Slurp canisters are.

If players are desperate for heals, then they can jump into the glowing waters that will invigorate them and provide them with healing and shields, allowing them to hide and regain the health that they need to get back in the fight.

2 The Doggpound

The Doggpound looks classy, and with that, comes popularity. The Doggpound has some highly desirable loot. From a vault to an army of NPCs, and even Snoop Dogg himself who holds a great gun and is a great ally. The Doggpound has all the starter loot one could need, and a central position for incoming storms.

Where the Doggpound really struggles is its location, as it’s a small island with a body of water, making it harder to escape from hostile teams that have made camp spots around the island to take care of who lurks inside the fortress.

1 Retail Row

A Small Town Filled with Chaotic Encounters

Retail Row is often a POI that most veteran teams might fear, but it’s also a POI where players can expect and demand a challenge. Considering Retail Row’s position near some mountains, it’s often an isolated spot that deals with its own action away from the central area of the map.

Retail Row features an abundance of loot thanks to its many buildings, and the different styles of these buildings and their placements makes for rooftop engagements that can be extremely exciting and intense.
