KONAMI has announced the new season of the eFootball Championship for the year 2025. Now, there are a few changes in comparison to what was followed in the previous years, and it makes it kind of exciting with all the platforms involved. Let me explain in depth how the eFootball Championship 2025 will play out alongside the format, schedule and more details.
The eFootball Championship 2025 season will see players around the world compete in various stages to claim the title of world champion. Open to all, the competition kicks off with a series of qualifiers, starting with Round 1 as an in-game event, accessible to every player across all the formats.
Club Events
For those participating in the Club Event, the journey will consist of numerous rounds. You have the chance to represent partner clubs namely Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal FC, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Manchester United in the competition. The regions are divided into four, namely Europe & Africa, the Americas, Asia (East and West), and Oceania alongside other regions.
Four online rounds will be held. Rounds 1, 2, and 3 are your firsts, which will be played across four platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Mobile. However, it will be changed during Round 4, as you can play it only on either PlayStation or Mobile. So if you have multiple platforms, make sure you choose a platform where you get a chance to play the final rounds.
Those who succeed through these rounds will progress to the Club Finals, where they’ll have the opportunity to compete online. Four players from Mobile and PlayStation each will qualify. Ultimately, the winner of the Club Finals will secure a spot in the prestigious eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals, set to take place in Tokyo in July 2025.
The Open consists of three regional qualifiers in two stages, spanning the same regions and culminates with regional champions advancing to the final stage. Rounds 1 and 2 will be played on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Mobile, whereas Round 3 and Regional Finals, like the Club events, will be open for PlayStation or Mobile players only.
Once the three rounds are completed, the top 2 for each region will qualify for the regional finals. The regional champions then compete to represent their clubs at the World Finals, where they aim to capture the championship title.
The prize pool of the event hasn’t been shared yet. I will update this space once it has been announced. The finals of the eFootball Championship 2025 can be viewed via the YouTube and Facebook channels, along with each club’s dedicated streaming platforms. Until then, read other related articles:
