Mohamed Light has scripted history after his stunning victory at the Clash Royale League (CRL) World Finals 2024. The player cruised through the competition, hungry for the throne, to reclaim his title as the best in the world. The previous time he had done this was in 2022, and after a shocking early knockout in 2023, the Egyptian player is back on top.

The CRL World Finals 2024 happened alongside the Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars World Finals at the Super Fest in Finland. This was the first time all three events were taking place together, attracting the attention of every Supercell enthusiast.

Mohamed Light dropped only one game on the way to CRL World Finals victory

Since the beginning of the year, Mohamed Light has been hungry for revenge. He booked his ticket to the World Finals from the first season of the CRL and maintained his consistent performance throughout the remainder of the season.

His only game loss throughout the CRL World Finals came in his first matchup against Lciop. Running a double evo deck with the P.E.K.K.A and Royal Giants combined with Rage and Arrows, he fell to China’s Lciop. The latter, on other hand, had the Goblin Drill and Wall Breakers as his evolution cards.

The game may have raised doubts amongst fans; however, Mohamed Light quickly silenced them in a comfortable upper bracket run across the three days, taking down Lucas and Ryley on the way to the grand finals.

Ryley won the lower bracket final to make it to the Grand Finals. However, he once again couldn’t keep up with Mohamed Light’s performance.

That being said, over at the other end of the bracket, we saw the biggest disappointment of the tournament. Japan’s Taa, who qualified through the Season 2 monthly finals fell in back-to-back matches without winning a single game for a disappointing last-place finish.
