Bloodborne Fans Have Found A PS5 Pro Enhanced Version

Key Takeaways

  • Fans continue to clamor for a Bloodborne remaster, with monthly calls to Sony.
  • PS5 Pro offers a slight enhancement to Bloodborne’s graphics, but results look similar.
  • Despite minimal changes, the community remains hopeful for any upgrade after years of anticipation.

In the history of video games, there have never been calls as loud as the ones fans make for a Bloodborne remaster. Hollow Knight: Silksong comes close, but there seems to be monthly cries for Sony to do something with its beloved 2015 hit.

While hope among the community is always there, Sony is guaranteed to find a way to beat them down, with the recent Horizon Zero Dawn remaster and the rumors of a Days Gone remaster seemingly the final nails in the coffin.

Trust me, if you like Bloodborne, you’re gonna love this cult classic PS1 gem.

However, there is a small glimmer of sunshine. With PS5 Pro consoles now out in the wild, players have found a way to slightly enhance Bloodborne, but sadly, it doesn’t really look any different.

Bloodborne Gets Boosted By PS5 Pro

When digging through the PS5 Pro’s options, players have found the ability to “Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games“, a category that Bloodborne squarely falls into.

So, of course, given the opportunity, those lucky enough to have Sony’s mid-gen refresh early tested it out on FromSoftware’s title and shared the results on ResetEra.

However, to the naked eye, the images that were shared looked almost identical, especially on a phone screen or PC monitor where most are likely to view the images, but it still got the community talking.

So much have the Bloodborne fans been beaten down, though, there was a shred of excitement that the game was at least getting some level of enhancement. Many flocked to the thread to declare it looked “a bit better”, “a little clearer”, and had a “slight detail boost”. It’s hardly a rousing reception, but with fans feeding on crumbs for almost ten years, it’s something.
