Best Healing Items to Use

Best Healing Items to Use

Healing Items are essential in any competitive shooter, and that’s especially true when it comes to facing off against 99 other players in Fortnite. As a game that’s constantly evolving, and constantly growing in competitive players, it’s essential to keep a loadout space free for some heals to aid a victory royale.

Fortnite Remix: Hidden Mechanics

Fortnite is a game that’s constantly evolving, and as such, players might have missed these hidden mechanics that could see them claim Victory Royale.

Whether it’s heals for one’s self or heals for one’s team, everyone should have a backup when it comes to providing the best healing in Fortnite, allowing them to maximize their returning health and shield so that they can jump back into the fight without having to drop from a new battle bus.

7 Bandage Bazooka

Shoot Allies to Instantly Heal Them, or Shoot at the Floor for Bandages

bandage bazooka

The Bandage Bazooka returns in Fortnite Remix, and while it’s fun for squads, it serves no purpose in solo games, or even duo games for that matter. The Bandage Bazooka can instantly heal allies shot with the weapon for 15 Health per shot, but the ammunition is limited and the cooldown is rather lengthy, so using it in the middle of a fight isn’t going to end well.

The Bandage Bazooka also takes up 2 slots in the inventory space, so it’s a pretty heavy weapon to wield considering it can’t actually kill anything or provide anything outside of a few bits of health used most effectively when running away from the storm.

6 Medkits

Heal From 1HP to 100HP

medkit

The Medkit is a classic healing item that might take a while to use, but it’s always nice to see that health return to 100. There isn’t much in the Fortnite loot pool that can provide players with the safety of returning to 100 health quite like the Medkit.

With a use of 9 seconds, players can get all of their health back as if they were never injured in the first place. It can be used to save a game from the impending storm or to catch some breath after a tough fight with an enemy.

5 Bandages

A Slow Way to Get 75HP Back

Bandages aren’t exactly the best healing item in Fortnite, but they are one to take note of. They are extremely common, and players are going to find them in abundance that will allow them to get some health back, but not all of it.

Bandages can only heal players up to 75% of their total health, but its quick cooldown of 3.5 seconds makes it a must-use in dire situations, especially since players can carry a total of 15 at once.

4 Fish

Rapid Health or Shields for Pescatarians

  • Effects: +15-40 Health/+20-50 Shield

Fishing is a fun little side activity in Fortnite that allows players to get away from the hostilities of warfare that await them. Fishing isn’t just a peaceful time in the waters and for filling up a collection book of different catches, as it’s also a time to test out how they taste.

There are countless variations of fish available in Fortnite, and each of them can provide something as simple as 15 health, to something grandiose like 50 shields in one burst. Fishing is effective but takes time to set up at fishing pools and ensure that nobody is getting shot in the head by a sniper from a distance.

3 Fruits and Vegetables

Keeps the Doctor Away and Provides Quick Bursts of Shield and Health

  • Effects: +5 Health/+5 Shield

Found in small boxes and containers around the map, players might occasionally come across some fruits and vegetables. Despite their size and healthy nature, they are nothing to scoff at, and players should enjoy consuming them whenever they can thanks to the fact that they can heal players well past 75 Health and 75 Shield.

The Fortnite Remix Battle Pass is here, providing an interesting mash-up of skins to celebrate the icons of Chapter 2.

While each piece of fruit or each vegetable only provides +5 health or shield, they are rather common to find, and always worth a quick snack to prepare for a battle ahead. While they aren’t worth carrying in the endgame, they do make for a tasty and healthy treat after landing.

2 Shield Potion

Obtain 50 Shields with a Quick Glug

shield potion

The classic shield potion has some great properties and only takes 4 seconds to consume. Within those 4 seconds, players can chug it down and enjoy a total of 50 shields, and it’s the only potion that will fill up the shields to their maximum potential.

The Shield Potion can be carried in stacks of 3, and those who have them might not want to share them, because they can satisfy where the small shield potions can’t. They’re a tad rare, and always worth drinking after a fight, but not before a small shield potion.

1 Small Shield Potion

Something to Sip for 25 Shields, Capped at 50 Shields

Small Shield Potion

The Small Shield Potion might only heal up to 50 Shield, but it can be a pretty fast drink to consume that only takes 2 seconds out of the fight. The Small Shield Potion also has a stack size of 6, so players can keep it on them and toss them towards friends or themselves when the situation calls for it.

While it might not be able to provide the total 100 Shield players need, it’s still better to have a consistent way of getting shields back instead of having to hope that the enemy runs out of bullets before the fight is over.
