Best Black Ops 6 AS Val loadout and class setup

What is the best AS Val loadout? The assault rifles in Black Ops 6 fill a similar role, capable of dominating any kind of mid-range fight. The AS Val is slightly different in that it comes with an integrated suppressor, and is just as much use in close-quarters combat as it is in extended firefights.

With players still working their way toward unlocking the AS Val, it hasn’t quite found its way into the meta yet, although, with our loadout, we think it takes a well-earned place in our best Black Ops 6 loadouts list. The recoil of the AS Val can be a little unruly, especially during sustained fire, so we’ve crafted a loadout and class setup that will see you dominate any fight in Black Ops 6 with ease.

Here is the best AS Val loadout:

• Barrel: Suppressed Reinforced Barrel
• Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
• Magazine: Extended Mag III

The base version of the AS Val gives us a blueprint of what makes this Black Ops 6 weapon so deadly. A rapid fire rate with an integrated suppressor means that you’ll be able to take down enemies quickly and stay off the minimap while doing it.

The Suppressed Reinforced Barrel pushes out the damage range of the AS Val while also adding bullet velocity, making distance targets much easier to hit. The Vertical Foregrip takes away a lot of the horizontal recoil, meaning that you’ll only have to contend with the gun kicking upwards rather than side to side. The recoil can get unruly if you don’t correct it during sustained fire, but it is absolutely manageable.

The AS Val comes with a tiny magazine by default, so we’ve opted to swap that for the Extended Mag III; it does slow down the ADS time, but since the Val’s iron sights are so clean, we have no need for an optic. Add in the Quickdraw grip and the weight added by the extended mag is barely noticeable.

The Recoil Springs further calms the gun kick during sustained fire. It’s unlikely that your opponent will last that long, but if you have to empty your mag, rest assured this fire mod will keep those shots true.

Best Black Ops 6 AS Val class build

As the AS Val only requires a few attachments to be deadly, we’ve gone for Perk Greed, taking the Bankroll perk, along with three Recon perks to unlock the specialty. The idea is to seek and destroy opposing players, with Ghost, Vigilance, and Forward Intel keeping you aware of the enemy at all times while staying hidden yourself.

Everything – even down to the silenced 9mm PM – is designed to keep you hidden. With Bankroll, it won’t take long before you can pop your UAV, and that’s when the real fun begins. If you want to get super spicy, you could even change the Assault Pack Field Upgrade for Sleeper Agent and get behind enemy lines as one of their own.

AS Val recoil pattern

With the addition of the Extended Mag III, we have to take recoil into account more than ever. This assault rifle has some upwards kick, but with our loadout that’s the only thing you have to contend with. A slight pull down on your mouse, or tilt of the stick, will see your shots stay on target from first to last.

Best AS Val alternatives

The Black Ops 6 weapon most similar to the AS Val is the XM4 loadout. It has a fast rate of fire, and performs better over long distances, but has a slightly longer TTK. It should help you get your eye in before you can unlock the AS Val.
