The criminal underworld’s most eligible bachelor is looking for love!
After hours of playing, we’ve compiled a list of nine of the best tips and tricks you can use as a beginner in Love And Deepspace. What’s even better is that many of these strategies will help you in later stages of the game, too. Without further ado, here are the best beginner tips for playing Love and Deepspace.
Always Redeem Resources Before They Expire
You may already have noticed that not all of the resources you receive are permanent. Many resources, like Energy Capsules and event currencies, have an expiration date on them.
Your instinct may be to bank resources for when you are completely out of your supply, but when it comes to expiring resources, you should use them the moment you get them.
Energy Capsules, especially, should be used as soon as they hit your inventory. Energy Capsules replenish your Stamina bar and redeeming capsules will ensure you have a steady supply of Stamina.
Stamina never expires, and you can hold more Stamina than your Hunter Level limit. For instance, you can have surplus Stamina, which would look something like this: 370/160 Stamina. There is no upper limit to how much Stamina you can have banked up.
The best time to redeem your Energy Capsules is when your Stamina bar is already full. If you redeem them while you are replenishing Stamina, you end up losing the free Stamina that would have been generated during the replenishment time.
Use Auto-Combat
If you’re a new player, you may be struggling to understand the basics of combat, and that’s ok. For many players, the entire draw of Love and Deepspace lies in the character’s Memories and events, not the combat system.
If you’re here for the Memories or you just don’t like combat in general, try using the Auto Combat toggle when you enter a battle stage. The Auto toggle will have your character and companion fight autonomously while you are AFK.
Unfortunately, Auto-Combat doesn’t mean total perfection. Your character may still get injured or defeated.
The best way to ensure that Auto combat results in a successful Wanderer Elimination is to level up your Memories before entering the battle. Every battle has a suggested Memory Level cap, so you should always try to level up your Memories beyond the cap.
Auto Equip Memories And Protocores
Similar to Auto-Combat, you can also auto-equip Protocores and Memories for your combat team. Using the auto-equip feature is a great way to learn which Memories are best for what battle types, as well as which of your Memories overall has the best power level.
Auto-equipping Protocores to Memories works the same way. There are so many different kinds of Protocores to collect and use, and each type applies to a different character, but using auto-equip will help streamline the process and take away the guesswork.
When you start feeling more comfortable with how combat and team building work, you can start making your own decisions about Protocores, but auto-equip will get you pretty far in the game.
Just make sure that you are still investing resources in upgrading your Memories and Protocores. Auto-equip won’t do much if your Memories and Protocores are low-level.
Save Your Diamonds For Special Event Pools
This tip is aimed more at beginners who are interested in beefing up their combat skills than those just playing for the cinematic moments.
Some Wish Pools are better than others, and if you know which pools to prioritize, you can walk away with some seriously overpowered memories for your combat teams.
The best pools to save your Diamonds and Deepspace Wishes: Limited for are the pools that either have four characters or showcase a memory with a ‘rare’ Stellactrum type.
Stellactrum don’t have rarities, but each character has a certain Stellactrum they specialize in. For instance, Xavier has the most Amber and Emerald Stellactrum memories of the love interests, but very few Ruby Stellactrum memories.
If you’re trying to challenge Deepspace Trials or Hunter Contest stages that prioritize certain Stellactrum, you’ll need powerful memories that match the Stellactrum color. Unfortunately, not all characters have a wide range of Stellactrum types.
If you know you need more Violet Stellactrum memories for your Sylus team, for example, you want to prioritize pools where the showcased memory is a Violet Stellactrum Sylus memory. If you can pull multiples of the memory, you can create an even more powerful addition to your combat team.
Getting five-star memories can be costly though, and if you want the most bang for your buck with the greatest chance of pulling out five-star memories, you should stockpile your resources for four-character pools.
Four-character pools, like Wander in Wonder, contain one limited-edition five-star memory per character. They also tend to have a Pity Pull system that will give you guaranteed pulls of the five-star memory of your choice.
Pulling from four-character pools gives you the best chances at not only getting five-star memories but getting multiples of certain five-star memories. That means greater chances of ranking your memories and making them even more powerful.
Log In Every Day For Daily Rewards
We get it, it can be annoying to log in and complete every single task possible in a game. Trying to complete every activity is time-consuming and tedious.
However, Love and Deepspace offers several rewards just for logging into the game. You don’t even have to do anything!
Try to log in every day and at the very least collect your Check-In reward and Daily Free Pack from the Shop. Both will give you chances to earn Diamonds and the Daily Pack may even give you Empyrean Wishes!
Complete Daily And Weekly Tasks
If you do have the time to sink into playing a few combat rounds and interacting with the characters in Destiny Cafe, you should aim to complete your Daily Tasks every day.
If you complete all of the Daily Tasks in the Agenda tab, you can earn 100 Diamonds per day. You will also build progress towards completing the Weekly Task, which grants an Empyrean Wish.
Daily and Weekly Tasks give Hunter Experience, as well, and can help you level up your Hunter Level quickly. The currencies and resources rewarded in Agenda Tasks are one hundred percent worth the extra effort each day.
Furthermore, both Daily and Weekly Tasks give you Promise Points to put towards Promise levels in the Seasonal Promise Events.
Build One Team Per Character
With so many romanceable characters in the game, there are hundreds of permutations for building a combat team. It can get confusing to figure out which characters are best used in combat and at what times.
The best way to ensure you always have a good team ready for difficult battle stages is to build one team for each character. Don’t just main a single character and neglect all the others.
Using only one character will only get you so far.
When you build your teams, it can help to assign each character a specific Stellactrum type. For instance, maybe Sylus‘s team consists mostly of Pearl and Emerald Stellactrum while Xavier’s is primarily Emerald and Amber Stellactrum.
By classifying each character’s team by Stellacrtrum, you ensure that you can always match the Protofield Stellactrum at the beginning of a battle.
If you can successfully match a Protofield’s Stellactrum, you’ll break two Protocore shield layers instead of just one when you activate your Resonance Ability.
Each of the characters has one Stellactrum type that they specialize in more than any other. The following table breaks down which characters specialize in which Stellactrum.
Character |
Stellactrum |
---|---|
Xavier |
|
Zayne |
|
Rafayel |
|
Sylus |
Prioritize Upgrades On Rarer Memories
There are dozens of Memories to collect in the Wish Pools, but not all Memories are created equal.
Memories are broken into three ranks: three-star (R rank), four-star (SR rank), and five-star (SSR rank). The highest of these is SSR rank, or five-star Memories. These Memories are the most powerful out of all the Memory types.
Five-star Memories are also Kindled, which means they come with a special playable story in the Date tab!
When you are building your combat teams, prioritize higher-star Memories over lower ones. As you earn rarer Memories, try to focus on leveling and ranking those Memories up before lower-rank ones.
Always Use Protocores
As a beginner player, the layers of combat boosts you can apply to Memories can get a little confusing. After all, the game throws a lot of combat mechanics at you very early on.
However, even if you find Protocores confusing, you should still collect and equip them. If you don’t know what Protocores to use on a Memory, use the auto-equip option. You can even use auto filters in the Protocore menu of a Memory to auto-select Protocores for you to use to upgrade one to the maximum level.
You can get more Protocores by completing Core Hunts in the Battle tab.
If you want to delve into a more advanced technique for applying Protocores, aim to add Protocores that synergize with your memory’s special skill.
Add Friends
Even if you are a little shy, you should try adding friends to your profile’s friends tab. You don’t have to interact with each other if you don’t want to.
If you have friends in your Profile, you can send and receive Stamina from them each day. Stamina is a valuable resource necessary for completing Battles in the Battle tab, and one of the most easily depleted resources there is in the game.
For this reason, you should try to add and accept friends to your Profile frequently. The daily Stamina gains are completely worth it.
