While it is a basic mechanic in RPGs, some players have some difficulty locating where all items they collect are stored, as it doesn’t have its own dedicated tab in the main in-game menu. How To Open Your Inventory in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

To access your player inventory, you will need to open the Character menu of the game, where you can see how your Rook looks and what their loadout is (armor, weapons, helmets etc). To the right of Rook’s head in the corner is an option called Resources, which players can access by pressing the indicated button (Triangle on PS, Y on Xbox), or by hovering your cursor over the option and selecting it. This will open the player’s inventory, which is split into two sections – Materials and Valuables. These sections allow players to identify which items are worth holding onto, and which are better utilized by parting ways with them, and can be navigated between using the bumper buttons on console.

Materials are items players can collect to craft objects and upgrade their items, so it would be worthwhile hanging onto anything you find that falls into this section of your inventory. In contrast, Valuables can be given up at any given opportunity, as they will be of interest to any vendors that you find on your journey. Selling Valuables is a great way to make some quick money, which will give you a distinct advantage by helping you improve your character build with better quality armor, weapons, and cosmetics.

Items can be sold to the various merchants scattered throughout the game, all of which are affiliated with a particular faction. Depending on which faction you are aligned with (not to be confused with
which class you are
) or which one you’re looking to gain favor with, it is better to take note of which faction is being represented by the merchant you’re doing business with.
