One creative Nintendo Switch fan showed off an incredible Animal Crossing-themed docking station for the system that they made for their wife. Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo’s most lauded franchises, as the games feature a number of memorable anthropomorphic villagers, strong customization, and a real-time day cycle. While Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released on the Nintendo Switch back in 2020, the franchise is still inspiring various fans to make creative items.

Animal Crossing fans are incredibly creative when making things based on Nintendo’s long-running franchise. Some of these things include creating fan art for the series, making real-life outfits based on Animal Crossing characters, and even some real-life versions of the spooky cookies in-game items. One gamer, though they weren’t a big fan of the franchise, was very creative in making a dock for the Nintendo Switch system based on Animal Crossing as a gift for their wife.

This incredible custom Nintendo Switch dock was shared by Metalgeargello on the r/AnimalCrossing subreddit, stating that it was a project that was a few months in the works. This custom dock has all the iconic elements of Nintendo’s franchise, including custom figures of Animal Crossing‘s Isabelle, along with Tom Nook and his two sons standing atop a bridge that has a river running below it.

Other elements from the game include a Villager’s house, an apple tree, and an Animal Crossing-styled fossil. A Dodo Airlines plane is also a part of this docking station, parked next to Isabelle and Tom Nook. Fans can also see a seashell, a present attached to a balloon, and a gyroid decoration, all of which are various items that can be found in Animal Crossing. The place where the Switch and dock would be placed is on the bridge itself, as seen from a perspective shot that shows what is behind the villagers. The user also included a shot that puts the dock in place.

Many Animal Crossing fans commented on the docking station, praising its appearance and the amount of attention to detail that was put into the docking station. Many complimented how the whole thing comes together when a Switch dock is put inside the station, making the whole thing look complete. While the Nintendo Switch has a lot of third-party or themed custom docks, they are usually ones that change the look of the accessory itself.
