With so many characters to choose from in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, it’s hard to decide who to play. You could simply play the classic characters like Goku or Vegeta. Or, you’d like to play as one of the strongest opponents the duo has ever faced, Broly.

Broly’s melee attacks are rather slow and, as such, are susceptible to being interrupted before he can deal any substantial damage. It is recommended to mix and mash the various combos as well as mix in a few Ki blasts to net said damage.
- Gut Punch is a quick attack that will stun the opponent for roughly one second, allowing you to get a few hits or possibly follow up with special moves.
- Spin Kick will force the enemy to spin around, making it a little harder to defend against further melee attacks.
- Knock Back Blast will push the opponent away, giving you a few seconds to charge up your Ki Gauge.

In his Base Form, Broly’s skills revolve around fully charging his Ki Gauge. These skills prove especially effective, as a fully charged Ki Gauge allows Broly to deal high-damage combos whilst also incorporating his special moves. During combos, quickly activating one of these skills will provide more opportunities to deal major damage to the opponent.
- Full-Power Charge will fully charge his Ki Gauge after a short activation.
- Going Berserk will instantly activate Sparking Mode after a short activation.
- Full-Power Energy Wave fires a beam attack that will track targets.
- Gigantic Crash will force Broly to rush directly at the opponent and grab them.
- Gigantic Impact, similar to Gigantic Crash, will rush at the opponent and deal major damage if connected.
Avoid using Gigantic Crash/Impact from neutral as they are very risky to perform and can be easily dodged or blocked.

After transforming into a Super Saiyan, Broly’s Ki Gauge will be fully restored and his overall attack damage will be increased slightly. Most notably, however, his Spin Kick and Knock Back Blast have had their combo inputs swapped. Be sure to remember this after transforming to not ruin your momentum during a combo.
After performing a transformation, Broly is unable to revert to any of his prior forms.

Broly’s skills and special moves are also changed after transformation, with an increase to their damage as well as altered costs. Additionally, his special moves Gigantic Crash as well as the Sparking ultimate Gigantic Impact are now replaced with ranged attacks rather than the prior rush attacks.
- Saiyan Spirit will provide a buff to Broly’s attacks and defense for a short duration after a short activation time.
- Howl works similarly to the Going Berserk skill as it will activate Sparking Mode after a short activation.
- Gigantic Canon fires a powerful high-damage beam that can be amplified by consuming extra Ki.
- Gigantic Rage will rush at the opponent, dealing moderate damage before throwing them away, allowing the possibility to further extend a combo.
- Gigantic Ball creates a giant sphere that cannot be blocked and deals massive amounts of damage when connected.
After performing Gigantic Rage while in Sparking Mode, immediately follow up with another special move or an instant transmission extender to increase damage output.

Broly’s final and most powerful transformation will, just like his prior transformation, greatly increase all damage output with the same added benefit of fully restoring his Ki Gauge. His combos also change once more, this time reverting to their original inputs, with only one exception. The Knock Back Blast combo is replaced with Ki Burst which releases a sphere around Broly, pushing the opponent away if they are hit by it.
Ki Burst will hit the opponent even if they are behind Broly so long as they are within range.

Once again, Broly’s skills and specials are altered with new costs. Though most of his kit remains somewhat unchanged, the two most notable are the Wild Move skill and Blast Meteor special move.
- Wild Move instantly teleports Broly right behind the opponent, causing them to lose visual for a few seconds, leaving them open to attack.
- Untamed Instinct, just like his prior skills, will instantly activate Sparking Mode with the added benefit of increasing all of his damage output for the entire duration.
- Gigantic Canon remains unchanged other than a higher damage output.
- Blast Meteor creates a large explosion at Broly’s current position, dealing massive damage.
- Gigantic Catastrophe fires a beam and deals the most damage out of all prior ultimates.
Wild Move is a very versatile skill capable of both avoiding damage and getting the jump on opponents who are attempting to charge their Ki.
