How To Get Spectral Carapace Emblem In Destiny 2

Spectral Carapace is a secret emblem that you can unlock during the Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2. Obtaining the emblem requires you to complete a hidden triumph called Twilight. Completing the said triumph will not only unlock the Spectral Carapace emblem, but also a guaranteed Lost Memento from previous FOTL. However, if you see the triumph, you will see all the objectives hidden.

This guide will help you learn everything there is to know about completing the Twilight triumph to get the secret Spectral Carapace emblem during the Festival of the Lost.

How To Unlock Spectral Carapace Emblem

Spectral Carapace emblem found in the Flair section of the Collections in Destiny 2.

To obtain the Spectral Carapace emblem, you will need to unlock a hidden triumph called Twilight. You will see it on the ‘General‘ page of Episode: Revenant. However, if you check the triumph, you will find all the objectives hidden and replaced by a bunch of question marks.

First, you will need to equip the Tower Staff Mask and speak with both Eva Levante and Saint-14 in The Tower. This should complete the first objective of the triumph.

To obtain the Tower Staff Mask, you will need to complete the Hocus Focusing challenge on the FOTL Event Card. This requires you to simply focus on an Eerie Engram with Eva Levante in The Tower.

Next, you will need to equip the Cursed Thrall Mask and get 100 explosive kills. You should be able to get it done using any Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher, etc. in an area with a lot of enemies, such as Altars of Sorrow on the Moon or the entrance of Grasp of Avarice dungeon on Cosmodrome. Also, do note that kills in the Crucible reward double progress.

You need to complete the Heads Will Roll challenge on the FOTL Event Card to get the Cursed Thrall Mask. This challenge requires you to defeat 100 Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors.

After that, you will need to equip the Finalized Ghost Mask and defeat 50 enemies using a Sword in an Expert Haunted Sector. You can launch it directly from The Tower. There is no matchmaking in the Expert Haunted Sectors. Simply head inside one, get as many kills as possible, and restart — you do not actually need to complete the Haunted Sector.

Once you are done, claim the Twilight triumph to get the Lost Memento and Spectral Carapace emblem.

To unlock the Finalized Ghost Mask, you will need to complete the Candy Corner challenge in the FOTL Event Card. This requires you to farm 15,000 Candy.

How To Farm Candy

As long as you have a Festival of the Lost mask equipped, anything you do will net you some Candy. However, farming 15,000 Candy requires a lot of grinding. Some of the ways that we recommend are:

  • If you are a solo player, your best bet is to farm Heroic Public Events in the European Dead Zone. Alternatively, you can also run the easiest Nightfall repeatedly. Since the easiest one has matchmaking enabled, it should be pretty simple to do.
  • For those with a pre-made fireteam, if you can snag a checkpoint for the final boss of the Shattered Throne, you can continuously farm it for a lot of Candy.
  • Lastly, do not forget that you can get around 1,000 Candy per character by collecting it from the trees in The Tower — one next to Eva Levante and the other one next to Ikora in the Bazaar.
