A new Genshin Impact leak is sharing an important detail about rumored Version 5.3 five-star character Citlali, with the Cryo character not expected to be a standard character. The launch of the newest region for the HoYoverse RPG introduced a wide variety of new characters to the game with plenty of unique roster members added and teased. Version 5.0 introduced a trio of new characters to the game with Version 5.1 later adding Xilonen as a new Geo character, while Version 5.2 will debut Chasca and Ororon. Now, one of the RPG’s next characters is being teased early.

Though HoYoverse has yet to officially announce Genshin Impact‘s character lineup for Version 5.3, leaks have already given fans an idea of what’s to come. Version 5.3 is heavily rumored to finally see the release of the newest member of Genshin Impact‘s Archons, with Mavuika expected to debut during the update. Mavuika won’t be the only new character introduced during Version 5.3, with the Masters of the Night-Wind’s Citlali also said to be joining the roster. A new leak is now hinting at an important detail for Genshin Impact fans waiting for Citlali’s debut.

Genshin Impact Leak Teasing Citlali’s Banner Status

A new leak shared by prominent Genshin Impact community member ProjectENKA is hinting at Citlali’s release in Genshin Impact. According to the post, Citlali is not expected to debut as a standard banner character with her release in Version 5.3, with the character only expected to be available through her limited gacha banner. HoYoverse has previously added two new five-star characters to Genshin Impact‘s standard rotation following their limited banner in Tighnari and Dehya, while most four-star units are added after a patch or two. Version 5.3 is currently expected to release on January 1.

Citlali’s absence from Genshin Impact‘s standard banner is likely to be a relief for many fans awaiting the character. Genshin Impact has often seen criticism for characters destined for the game’s standard banner, often releasing in weaker states than many of the game’s limited characters. Sumeru five-star character Dehya has often been seen as one of the weakest five-star characters in the game, with HoYoverse even previously looking for feedback from fans after her release. No five-star characters were added to the standard rotation during the Fontaine cycle.

Leaks about Genshin Impact‘s newest characters come as the game is expected to have plenty of exciting content on the way. The upcoming Version 5.2 has been heavily leaked to see a major expansion to the Natlan region’s map, with both the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind expected to be added. Rumors have also swirled about the status of Natlan’s Pyro version of the Traveler, currently expected to be given out through the region’s Archon Quest. Genshin Impact‘s Natlan region looks to be bursting with new content throughout the next few updates.
