While the original list contained a lot of great locations throughout the map, it didn’t contain a lot of areas in the Cranberry Bog. This region is one of the hardest regions to survive in. There are lots of tough enemies spread all over the place. That said, it’s a place where lots of high-level players choose to build. There are plenty of open and flat areas to build in. Also, the area, while dangerous, is also really stunning.

1 The Seneca Rock Bridge

There is a beautiful Seneca Rock Cabin and a Pleasant Valley Cabin across the Seneca Rock Bridge. The building of the bridge shows how unique the Appalachian scenery is. The Seneca Rock Bridge’s high location makes it safer from attacks from below. One thing that stands out is how beautiful and useful the area is.

Because the place is so famous, it draws various threats. But, by building high up, players aren’t likely to encounter much enemy interference. Players can get water from the Seneca Rock Bridge, it’s easy to defend, and it’s a good spot to be able to fast travel to for free.

2 Morgantown Trainyard

In Fallout 76, the Morgantown Trainyard Camp is great because it has everything players will need. The camp is west of the trainyard, in the Appalachian Forest. There are some resources in the area, making it a good place to build for lower-level players.

It’s quite close to a few notable locations which makes it ideal for those who don’t have a lot of Caps. Fast traveling can be quite costly for new players. So, having a CAMP set up near key travel points can help players hang on to their hard-earned Caps.

The Noose Tree camp has a horror movie feel. The environment shows the remains of a skeleton with an eerie beauty. Survivors like this place because it has a unique, spooky atmosphere with a sense of disturbed beauty.

The area is flat, which makes it easy for players to build up their base in any direction. The view of the area is breathtaking. The great views and the lonesome hanging noose make this the perfect place for a Halloween-themed build. The only major downside of this area is that it isn’t a high-traffic location, meaning that players may struggle to get visitors.

4 Mole Miner Tunnel

The Mole Miner Tunnel is a fairly unique place to build. The cool, open landscape is a big draw for players. The underground tunnels help to add more depth to a player’s base. By building here, it is easy to create an immersive base that fits in with its surroundings.

Attacks tend to happen fairly frequently around this area. Although, it’s worth noting that the enemies typically aren’t that difficult to deal with. Since it is a large forest area, it’s easy and fun to build a camouflage-style base that fits neatly into the landscape.

Alternatively, players can use the road that runs through this region to build their own diner or shopping center that fits neatly into the surrounding area.

8 New Gad

This Super Mutant-infested area is a great place to build for those players who enjoy lots of plain, flat land that they can build off. Since there are lots of prefabs that players can place, New Gad is a great place to build for players who like to build their bases quickly.

While the Super Mutants tend to attack pretty often, a few strategically placed turrets should take care of them. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of resources around, aside from water sources. So, for players who love resource-rich areas, it may be best to pick another location.

9 North Of Whitespring Station

One of The Most Popular Build Locations

The area around Whitespring Station is one of the most popular places to build in all of Fallout 76. Lots of players use The Whitespring Station as a central trading post, making this area a great place to get lots of visitors to a player’s base.

While the competition is fierce, it is worth having at least one CAMP in this location. Since Fallout 76 gave players the ability to own more than one CAMP, if the player’s primary CAMP spot is occupied, then they can just open up the menu and place down one of their other CAMP builds.

With it being a central point on the map, it is a great location to set up shop and sell items to other players.

10 Whitespring Golf Course

A Very Popular Place To Call Home

The Whitespring Golf Course is in the Whitespring area of Fallout 76. This camp costs a lot and has a nice view of the scenery. The best thing about the Whitespring Golf Course is how safe it is. While the previous inhabitants can cause issues, there is a team of Whitespring Robots that do their best to handle any unruly Ghouls. That said, this probably isn’t the best location to build for low-level players, as they will find themselves getting attacked fairly frequently.

The Whitespring Golf Course is also a fairly large area. So, it’s possible for multiple players to build in close proximity to each other. Typically, a server will have at least two CAMPs set up in this area.

11 North Of Drop Site V9

An Open Area That Is Close To A Boss Battle Site

Drop Site V9 is a great place to set up shop for those looking to make lots of sales. This area is right next to Fissure Site Prime. This is where the Scorched Earth event takes place. It’s the first boss battle that players are likely to encounter. It’s a very popular event that sees players from all over the server join, making it an ideal location to build in as there will always be a steady flow of customers.

If the player places their CAMP north of Drop Site V9, then they will avoid most of the nukes that land in that area. Also, the whole area is open and flat with very few unmovable objects, making it a pretty easy area to build in.

12 Near The Flooded Trainyard

A Large Flat Area With Few Enemy Spawn Points

Just east of the Flooded Trainyard there’s a pretty large flat area which is perfect for building. While the player will encounter some enemies every now and then, for the most part, it’s a relatively peaceful place to build in. While this location doesn’t get a lot of natural player traffic, those who do venture to this area are typically high-level players. High-level players are more likely to have a nice stash of Caps that they are always willing to spend.

One other good thing about this location is its usefulness for completing challenges. Players will often receive challenges that involve killing cryptids. Snallygasters are cryptids, and the Flooded Trainyard is a guaranteed spawn point for Snallygasters. If the player has their CAMP nearby, then they can quickly and easily tick off any challenges that involve killing these beasts.

13 Near Camp Liberty

A Cool Cave Hideout

If the player heads directly northeast of Camp Liberty, then they will come across a large cliff with a waterfall trickling down the side. Not only is this a fantastic location for a CAMP, it also has a little hidden secret.

At the base of the waterfall, there’s a small cave that players can build inside. While there isn’t a lot of space, it’s a fun little bonus area where players can build. If placed correctly, then the player will be able to build at the top of the waterfall and inside the little cave at the bottom.

14 West Of Research Site Saxony

A Pree-Built Treehouse

Just west of Research Site Saxony, there’s a large treehouse where players can place their CAMP. This is the perfect place for players who enjoy incorporating existing structures into their builds.

The interior is very empty, except for a radio on the top floor. It’s a great blank canvas for those who have creative outdoor build ideas. While it is prone to Super Mutant attacks, a couple of well-placed turrets should keep them at bay. That said, the treehouse does offer some natural protection as the structure can’t be destroyed by enemies.

15 Three Ponds

A Stunning View Of Skyline Valley

If the player’s main focus is the view, then Three Ponds is the perfect place to set up CAMP. There are large ponds along a cliffside that overlooks the entire Skyline Valley region. It’s an ideal location for those wanting to make a waterside retreat.

Players can choose to place their CAMP next to any of the ponds in this area. Also, if the player places their CAMP in just the right spot, then they can build in the top section of the area as well as at the base of the cliff.
