Every Game Added In November 2024

PlayStation Plus used to be a subscription service that got you a few free games every month and access to other titles’ online features. Needing to come up with something that looked a little more like Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation shook things up in 2022 and introduced a tiered PS Plus system. Now there are three options to choose from: Essential, Extra, and Premium. Each tier costs more than the last, but paying more will get you access to more features and a bigger library of games.

A Guide To Every Free Game Available Right Now

From traditional console subscriptions to mobile offerings and PC services, here’s every free video game. Because free is good.

Essential is the same as the old PS Plus. The cheapest option which lets you play online and gets you a handful of free games every month. Extra gets you quite a lot more, opening up a library of PS4 and PS5 games you can download and play for the price of your subscription. Last but not least is Premium which includes everything you get with Extra plus access to PlayStation‘s classics library as well as demos for various new games. Fresh games are added to each tier every month, and below you’ll find what you’ll get throughout November, regardless of the tier you’re subscribed to, as well as links to where you can upgrade your subscription or sign up if you don’t currently have PS Plus.

Essential is the cheapest tier of PS Plus and while it doesn’t get you access to the libraries of games you get with Extra and Premium, it does mean you get the free Essential games each month. Titles to download and keep for as long as you like provided your Plus subscription is active.

PlayStation usually gives away three games to Essential subscribers each month and November is no different. The biggest game available through Essential this month is Ghostwire: Tokyo. The 2022 title takes place in a haunted version of Japan’s capital and with your own supernatural powers you need to figure out what the heck is going on.

Unlike the lead character in the game, Ghostwire: Tokyo hasn’t come alone. The Turbocharged edition of Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 joins it in November’s Essential picks, and Death Note Killer Within rounds out this month’s offerings. All three games will be available for Essential subscribers to claim starting from November 5, and you’ll have until December 2 to claim them after which point they’ll be replaced with new offerings.

If you’re subscribed to PS Plus Extra then you get access to an entire library of PS4 and PS5 games. Like Xbox Game Pass, Extra gets new titles every month, and also like its Xbox equivalent, some games will leave. Ten more games were added to the service on October 15, but November’s additions won’t be revealed until later in the month.

The two big arrivals on Extra this month are Dead Island 2 and Two Point Campus. Dead Island 2 is the sequel a decade in the making that finally arrived after what felt like endless delays just a year ago. You can now experience the Dead Island sequel in all of its gory glory on PS Plus, or you’ll be able to from October 15. Two Point Campus is the latest game in the Two Point series following on from the success of Two Point Hospital, and arriving ahead of next year’s Two Point Museum.

As excited as I am to play both of the games mentioned above, Gris is my pick for the best game coming to Extra this October. I missed out on Gris when it launched and I am very excited to finally give it a try. It arrives on Extra the same day as Neva is released across multiple platforms, the next game from the creators of Gris. Play Gris on Extra and pick up Neva for the ultimate Nomada combo. Among the other seven games coming to Extra this month are last year’s Tour de France game and Return To Monkey Island.

If you’re subscribed to Premium then you get everything in the Extra library with the bonus of a Premium library at your fingertips. Previously a place for PlayStation to slowly start making its back catalog available to play on modern platforms, Premium is now also where you can find PS VR2 games included with your subscription. October’s games are available now, but the November titles joining them haven’t been revealed yet.

The Last Clockwinder joined Premium’s PS VR2 library on October 15. In this unique VR game, you will need to perform an action, clone it, and then move on to something else while that cloned action gets on with the job you left it to do. Eventually, you will have hopefully done enough to save your galaxy’s clocktower.

Not as many people as PlayStation would like have bought a PS VR2, so the real draw for Premium subscribers is its classic games, and this month, there’s a big one. The original Dino Crisis joins PS Plus Premium this October. No, Capcom isn’t giving us a new entry or even a rematser, but hey, at least we’ll be able to play the original on a modern platform very soon. Rounding out Premium’s additions this month are Siren and R Type Dimensions DX.

You no longer need a PS5 to use the PS VR2. The headset is now compatible with Steam VR games on PC. You will need to buy a $60 adapter to make that happen though, and not all of the PS VR2’s features will work.

PlayStation Plus is a subscription service from Sony. It comes in three paid tiers – Essential, Extra, and Premium, and offers free monthly games to own, a catalog of hundreds of games, cloud storage, discounts, and online multiplayer gameplay.

Leaving PS Plus

As always, some games must leave PS Plus to make room for the ones arriving, and there are some big titles departing the service this October. Topping the bill is LittleBigPlanet 3. The Sackboy game will be delisted from the PS Store on October 31, so it only makes sense that PlayStation removes it from PS Plus before then. Gotham Knights, a bunch of Dragon Quest games, and everything else listed below will leave PS Plus on October 15.
