Uryuu Ishida’s Vollständig, A Showcase of Power
Uryuu’s Resolve in the Conflict
The Quincy Vollständig is the highest form of a Quincy’s power. It is in this state where the Quincy truly reaches the full potential of their Schrift. As seen before with Äs Nodt or Bambietta Basterbine, the user’s Schrift abilities are amplified to their highest form. And while this is most certainly also the case for Uryuu, since he hasn’t officially revealed his Schrift, he didn’t use it against Ichigo. Instead, he employs a much higher form of his Quincy bow and arrow abilities.
Uryuu activates his Vollständig the same way other Sternritter do, with a pillar of holy light and church bells. After the pillar of hard light breaks, it reveals Uryuu in this new form. He now has reishi armor on his ankles and wrists. As well as an arrowhead over his heart. And just like all the other Quincy, he now possesses a pair of reishi wings. But noticeably, he lacks the usual halo other Quincy have displayed.

Main Ability, Remote Arrows
Uryuu’s Vollständig main ability seems to be the use of hundreds of flying arrowheads that he commands with hand gestures. These mostly shoot reishi lasers at Uryuu’s target, and he can command them from very long distances to pursue his enemy. These arrowheads led by Uryuu create an endless barrage of projectiles that are only barely defended against by Ichigo. Thanks to Ichigo’s incredible speed, he can deflect several of these strikes at once, but even still, the onslaught of lasers is sometimes too much for even the powerful soul reaper.
Remote Arrow Cage
Uryuu then joins several of these arrowheads to form a reishi cage around Ichigo. This seems to fully capture his enemies until Uryuu activates it to create a massive explosion that forms a Quincy Cross.

Sternenstaub, Uryuu’s Most Powerful Blast
This seems to be Uryuu’s most powerful technique in this form. He manifests a big Quincy bow on his open palm and then, by creating an arrow in his other hand, he creates a massive Quincy Cross-shaped projectile. This attack, which translates to “Stardust”, is powerful enough to clash with and hold Ichigo’s Getsuga Juujisho for a time. But still, Ichigo’s most powerful attack eventually destroys this gigantic technique.
It is important to remember that this form and all of its techniques are brand new to both anime only and manga fans alike. And that there is still information and understanding of Uryuu’s new power to be seen in the Thousand-Year Blood War anime. The fact is that it paved the way for the anime to truly show how powerful Uryuu has become since he gained his new abilities as a Sternritter.
