Black Ops 6 double XP weekend extended for all thanks to a glitch
If you’ve been enjoying the Black Ops 6 Nuketown 24/7 playlist and double XP weekend, you’ve now got even more cause to celebrate. After a glitch “occasionally limited” the amount of double XP awarded to some players, Treyarch has extended the 2XP offering. This means you’ve got longer to farm double XP in multiplayer, and even the double Gobblegum earn rate in Zombies too. With BO6’s first season right around the corner, an extra day of bonus XP earnings is nothing to sneeze at.
While I’ve been having an excellent time with the Black Ops 6 multiplayer, I can’t stomach the grind these days. Making my way through the prestige ranks doesn’t have the same kick it used to, but that’s why double XP is the perfect remedy. If you’re just like me you’re in luck, as Treyarch has extended the multiplayer game’s current 2XP weekend for everyone after a bug was giving some of us less rewards. If you dodged the glitch, then that’s an extra day of double XP for you. If you didn’t, this is your chance to get those earnings back.
“Update: Last night we addressed an issue that occasionally limited the amount of 2XP awarded to some players as we continue to assess and balance progression tuning,” Treyarch writes.
“As a result, we are extending 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Gobblegum earn rate until Nov 5 at 10am PT.”
The Black Ops 6 2XP weekend has been extended, so you can get double XP, weapon XP, and Gobblegum earn rates for longer. The bonus lasts until Tuesday November 5 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, and 5am AEDT on Wednesday November 6.
If you’re looking for more Black Ops 6 double XP tokens, we’ve got your back. You can get double XP from promotions, buying bundles, and even making your way through the battle pass. With Black Ops 6 Season 1 right around the corner, you’ll want to take any chance to boost your XP gains you can get.
There’s much more than multiplayer in this year’s Call of Duty, though. We’ve also got a new campaign and the return of round-based Zombies, which makes BO6 one of the best games in the series. Paul’s very own Black Ops 6 review highlights how Zombies and multiplayer are the best they’ve ever been, while a weak campaign is still better than last year’s MW3.
As you dart around the newest Call of Duty’s multiplayer maps make sure you know all the best Black Ops 6 loadouts, alongside all the Black Ops 6 weapons to make those killstreaks happen.
