It is impressive just how much content there is in a game that has been around as long as World of Warcraft has. With the base game and 10 expansions worth of content, there is a lot for players to do. By playing the game, you will gradually get an impressive collection of toys, pets, and mounts.
Some of the events for the 20th Anniversary provide players with an opportunity to show off their collection they’ve been amassing over the years, and this is especially the case for the widely popular Mount Mania event which gives players the opportunity to show off their rare/no longer obtainable mounts.

The most expensive mount World of Warcraft has ever seen is actually a bargain, and players are scrambling to get it.
Mount Mania Explained
Mount Mania is a competition where players have to match the mount that the NPC shows off. This event starts at roughly XX:45 every hour and usually lasts less than 15 minutes. Mount Mania consists of 15 rounds where the NPC, Abigail Cyrildotr shows off a mount. If you have that mount, quickly summon it to earn one point. Your total number of points can be seen via a debuff on your character.
The best way to quickly pull up a mount is to have your collection tab open and then type in the name of the mount as Abigail announces it. You have roughly 30 seconds before the next round begins, so you will need to be quick. Whoever gets the most points at the end wins. There are also two achievements you can earn from this event. The first is to match one mount while the other is to match twenty mounts.
How to Win Mount Mania
While Mount Mania is simple, it is not easy to win. Not only do you need to have a large collection of mounts, but it also requires no small amount of luck. Abigail will show off nearly any mount in the game, though in the initial rounds she will focus on mounts from more recent expansions along with the store and Trading Post.
The later rounds, however, get significantly tougher. By Round 10-15, you can expect Abigail to pull out insanely rare mounts that most players will not have. Even if you’ve been able to match most of the mounts during the first half of Mount Mania, your lead can quickly evaporate once she starts summoning mounts that less than one percent of the player base have, including unobtainable mounts like the Black Qiraji Battle Tank.
So the best way to have a chance at winning Mount Mania is to have as many mounts as possible from across every expansion. Even if you have a couple hundred mounts, that still may not be enough depending on what mounts Abigail chooses to show off. In addition, try to compete in Mount Mania at a point in which there aren’t as many players online. You stand a much better chance if there aren’t as many players around as long as you are still able to get a good amount of points.
