Why Can’t You Change Your Fortnite Skin?
Fortnite’s just launched a new mini season. It’s taking us back to Chapter 2, but this time with a handful of musicians imposing themselves on the Agency’s old POIs. As with any update, a lot of players are particularly hyped to try out the new Battle Pass and skins. But why can’t I change my skin in Fortnite?
The game’s got bugs. The Fortnite Remix update is one of the buggiest we’ve seen so far. With Creative and Rocket Racing turned off completely on some platforms, Reload missing entirely, there’s a lot of problems. What about just playing Fortnite Battle Royale though?
If you were hoping to gey in on Chapter 2 with an original Fortnite skin, you might run into this problem. It’s got a lot of people asking why can’t I change my skin in Fortnite. Why is this happening and when will it be fixed?

Why Can’t I Change my Skin in Fortnite?
Right now, there’s a bug in the game which means players can’t change their skin in Fortnite. They can select a different one, but it doesn’t save or remain equipped. Leaving you stuck with whatever you wore to the Prelude live event.
This is a bug with the latest update. Epic has provided some official word on when they’ll be fixing it, saying they’re working on an update asap. Around an hour after that, a new patch was pushed which they claimed had fixed the problem.
However, it hasn’t.
The exact same problem is applying still. Some players might be confused since their official communication seems to be focused on the new Snoop skin, however it is a bug effecting most skins for some players. They haven’t provided an update on the second fix. Hopefully, the next attempt will see the issue resolved.

Until then, players are stuck with whichever skin they had on! If you were hoping to rotate through the best Fortnite skins of Chapter 2 it’s bound to be disappointing. Hopefully, things will be fixed within a few hours and everyone can enjoy the new season.
