The Best Healers in Genshin Impact
Key Takeaways
- In Genshin Impact, there are several characters with healing abilities that can support your team during battles.
- A Dendro character with a unique healing and application ability, Yaoyao can heal and support her team with her Elemental Burst, making her an excellent option for both healing and Dendro application.
- If you’re looking for a character that can provide you with some generic healing but mostly focuses on other buffs for the team to increase the overall damage, Bennett is the best option in most cases.
In the open world of Genshin Impact, there are many characters to consider. From offensive to defensive, players should know how to play in every position to get the most out of the experience. This is especially true when it comes to healers, the last line of hope when everything else has failed.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons To Forge First
The crafting system in Genshin Impact offers a number of weapons for players to forge. These are the ones you should prioritize.
You’ll have a huge roster of characters to choose from, with new ones being added frequently. Though healers are mainly expected to serve a support role, their abilities can make them more adaptable to various situations, from dishing out extra damage to using protection to tank hits.
Updated on November 02, 2024, by Sanyam Jain: So far, the healers in Genshin Impact have mostly been based around providing small buffs to the team as they keep everyone alive. However, this was changed with the release of Xilonen, making her one of the most valuable characters to have.

Gorou

Bow |
---|---|
Vision |
Geo |
Healing Abilities |
Juuga: Forward Unto Victory (Elemental Burst) |
Associated Requirement |
Fourth Constellation ‘Lapping Hound: Warm as Water’ |
Gorou
is a shining example of a character being what you build them to be. To get his Elemental Burst capable of healing, you’ll need to unlock Gorou’s fourth Constellation. Once you’ve done this, though, you’ll heal active characters inside of Gorou’s AoE by 50 percent of his Defense stat whenever General Glory is in Impregnable or Crunch status.
Obviously, there are a lot of stipulations to make Gorou a healer, but the amount he heals once you’ve built him up is well worth the effort. Since healing is half of his Defense stat, this means you’ll still have a beefy Gorou to use defensively, and it encourages you to continue upping this stat, as well, to make him the best healer possible.

Noelle
Weapon |
Claymore |
---|---|
Vision |
Geo |
Healing Abilities |
Breastplate (Elemental Skill) |
Noelle
is one of the first characters you’ll obtain when you start Genshin Impact and, as such, one of the first healers you’ll have at your disposal. She can be a strong source of damage in your party, but that doesn’t take away her ability to heal. As a good knight and maid, she’s all about being as helpful as possible to those around her, and this shows the most when you activate her shield through her Elemental Skill.
Not only does her Elemental Skill inflict Geo damage outwardly, but it also gives her Normal and Charged Attacks healing properties whenever they successfully hit a targeted opponent. When this happens, every member of your party, whether on the field or not, will be healed based on the total of Noelle’s Defense stat. Like Gorou, this makes you build Noelle up in Defense stat to make her a better healer, therefore making her multifaceted.

Baizhu
Weapon |
Catalyst |
---|---|
Vision |
Dendro |
Healing Abilities |
Universal Diagnosis (Elemental Skill) |
Through his Elemental Skill, Baizhu
releases a Gossamer Sprite that will hit nearby opponents with damage. Once this Sprite has attacked three times, or you’ve cleared the area of enemies to target, they return to Baizhu and heal all nearby teammates.

Genshin Impact: Build Guide For Baizhu
Travelers have waited a long time to get their hands on Baizhu, and here’s everything you need to know about the different ways you can build him.
How much the Sprite heals is scaled off of Baizhu’s max HP, so how effective this move is depends on your attention to Baizhu’s health stat. Unlike Gorou and Noelle, who can be used in different ways effectively, Baizhu is best suited as your team’s healer. His character is even introduced in the story as the owner of Bubu’s Pharmacy, solidifying his mastery of medicine and healing.

Mika
Weapon |
Polearm |
---|---|
Vision |
Cryo |
Healing Abilities |
Skyfeather Song (Elemental Burst) |
Associated Requirement |
|
Mika’s specialty is support, especially for characters like Eula who use physical attacks often. He can increase characters’ ATK SPD and Physical DMG as well as heal them. His Elemental Burst gives all characters in the party a burst of healing based on his Max HP. After that, the active character goes into the Eagleplume state, where Normal Attacks that hit an opponent regenerate some HP every 2.5 seconds.
Mika’s first Constellation makes the healing intervals of his Burst even shorter, and his fourth one generates three Energy particles every time a character in the Eagleplume state is healed. If you want a character who can heal as well as support the team, Mika
is definitely a good choice.
13
Yaoyao
Weapon |
Polearm |
---|---|
Vision |
Dendro |
Healing Abilities |
Raphanus Sky Cluster (Elemental Skill) |
Moonjade Descent (Elemental Burst) |
Yaoyao
was Genshin Impact’s first Dendro healer, which allowed her to fill a special slot if you wanted a healer who could do Dendro reactions, and gave you plenty of time to make her as fierce as possible. Her Elemental Skill throws out White Jade radishes, which can either hit opponents or heal active characters based on her Max HP, depending on whether the character’s HP is greater or less than 70 percent.
Her Elemental Burst is similar, except it does both things at once regardless of HP and now heals the entire party. Both abilities also apply Dendro to enemies who are hit by the radishes, making Yaoyao an excellent and unique option for both healing and Dendro application.
12
Dori
Weapon |
Claymore |
---|---|
Vision |
Electro |
Healing Abilities |
Alcazarzaray’s Exactitude (Elemental Burst) |
Dori
is a sly merchant hailing from Port Ormos, and she can get you almost everything for the right price. Going along with her design, she summons a Jinni on the field when you use her Elemental Burst. This Jinni connects with your active character when they’re nearby and heals them based on Dori’s HP.
You’ll also deal damage to opponents if they’re on the trail joining you and the Jinni, and your character will regenerate a bit of Energy constantly. Increasing both your HP and Energy, Dori can be great with characters who have high Energy requirements.
11
Barbara
Weapon |
Catalyst |
---|---|
Vision |
Hydro |
Healing Abilities |
Let The Show Begin (Elemental Skill) |
Shining Miracle (Elemental Burst) |
|
Associated Requirement |
Constellation Six ‘Dedicating Everything to You’ (for full revival) |
The more Max HP Barbara has, the better she is at giving it back to her teammates. She’s the character that can be set up strictly as a healer to be the most effective, without having to focus on her ATK. Her Elemental Skill forms a regenerative healing ring around the current character. If the character is Barbara
, her Normal and Charged Attacks will gradually give back HP.
Her Elemental Burst is the most straightforward heal in the game, restoring all characters’ HP based on her own. She’s also capable of dishing out a revive when her constellations hit the max, a rare ability that can change the tide of battle. If you want a straightforward approach to healing, Barbara’s the simplest choice.
10
Sayu
Weapon |
Claymore |
---|---|
Vision |
Anemo |
Healing Abilities |
Yoohoo Art: Mujina Flurry (Elemental Burst) |
Associated Requirement |
First Ascension Passive ‘Someone More Capable’ |
Being a ninja, Sayu
has access to a lot of dynamic abilities. In addition to her attacks, her Elemental Burst has incredible healing and support potential. It dishes out Anemo damage to nearby enemies while healing her allies at the same time. The restored amount is based on Sayu’s ATK.
Moreover, getting her to level 20 unlocks a passive where she heals her party members for 300 HP every time she triggers a Swirl reaction. The more Elemental Mastery she has, the more HP she’ll heal on top of that. With her Elemental Skill’s mobility, Sayu can be a good healer in exploration teams.
9
Diona
Weapon |
Bow |
---|---|
Vision |
Cryo |
Healing Abilities |
Signature Mix (Elemental Burst) |
Diona
is a fun hybrid of shielding and healing who can really support your other characters during battle. Unlike other healers, her healing doesn’t scale with her HP. However, it’s a good idea to give her some HP if you want her shields to be stronger. Otherwise, Energy Recharge is the way to go since her healing comes from her Elemental Burst. It’s an AOE attack that heals characters within its range while inflicting the Cryo element on enemies.

Even though you don’t get healing as regularly with this character, the shield from her Elemental Skill makes up for it. Diona can provide your active character with quite a tanky shield if you hit the enemies with all the projectiles. You might not even need the healing from her Burst because of this shield.
8
Qiqi
Weapon |
Sword |
---|---|
Vision |
Cryo |
Healing Abilities |
Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost (Elemental Skill) |
Associated Requirement |
Sixth Constellation ‘Rite of Resurrection’ |
Qiqi’s healing effectiveness is based on her ATK. Both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst can heal, but the downside is that they both have long cooldown times. It’s best to use her if your need for healing is less frequent. At the very least, giving her more ATK for more heals means she can also do some damage in a pinch.
In fact, her Elemental Skill periodically heals the current character while hitting opponents. This can be extra useful if you have a Hydro character on the team too. Also, her sixth constellation’s ability is a stronger version of Barbara’s, letting her revive multiple fallen characters and restore 50 percent HP to them.
7
Sigewinne
Weapon |
Bow |
---|---|
Vision |
Hydro |
Healing Abilities |
Rebound Hydrotherapy (Elemental Skill) |
As long as you consider the amount of healing, there’s hardly anyone in Genshin Impact that beats Sigewinne
. Whenever you use her Elemental Skill, she forms a bubble that bounces up to four times, with each bounce healing the entire party. At the end of the Skill, Sigewinne gets a massive heal and loses her Bond of Life as well.
Because of its short cooldown, this Skill will be more than enough to keep your team alive. However, the main area where Sigewinne lacks is the support other than healing. She hardly provides any other buffs to her party without certain constellations, artifacts, or weapons, and you won’t need that much healing once you get used to the game’s combat.
6
Kuki Shinobu
Weapon |
Sword |
---|---|
Vision |
Electro |
Healing Abilities |
Sanctifying Ring (Elemental Skill) |
Kuki Shinobu
skill set is quite unique since she needs to stay at low HP to perform better. The amount of healing you can get from her Elemental Skill increases when her HP is below 50 percent, and so does the duration of her Elemental Burst. How much she heals also depends on both her HP and Elemental Mastery.
Unlike most other healers, you don’t have to stay in a certain radius to get the benefits, since the ring from her Elemental Skill follows you. It can also apply Electro to nearby enemies. During her initial launch, Kuki wasn’t considered as good because Electro was a weak element in general. But her value has increased exponentially since Quicken reactions were released alongside Sumeru.
5
Jean
Weapon |
Sword |
---|---|
Vision |
Anemo |
Healing Abilities |
Dandelion Breeze (Elemental Burst) |
Associated Requirement |
First Ascension Passive ‘Wind Companion’ |
While Jean
is a great healer in her own right, what makes her so devastating is her high attack power that goes along with it. Scaling them both together delivers a lethal combination that makes her an excellent sub-DPS. Jean’s Elemental Burst instantly heals all her party members based on her ATK. It also creates a Dandelion Field that constantly heals the active character while dealing damage to enemies that enter or exit the radius.

Jean can be a powerful healer in Genshin Impact, but you need these tools if you want to make the most of her in battle.
Though her healing is only restricted to her Elemental Burst, there’s something that makes up for the downtime of getting it back up. At level 20, she has a passive that has a 50 percent chance of regenerating your party’s HP when she uses a Normal Attack. This makes her ideal for both healing and crowd-controlling enemies.
4
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Weapon |
Catalyst |
---|---|
Vision |
Hydro |
Healing Abilities |
Kurage’s Oath (Elemental Skill) |
Nereid’s Ascension (Elemental Burst) |
Sangonomiya Kokomi’s skill set is all about healing. She automatically comes with a 25 percent Healing Bonus in exchange for a minus 100 percent Crit Rate. On top of that, her Elemental Skill summons a jellyfish that heals your active character while you’re in its (very large) radius, and doing regular attacks while her Elemental Burst is active heals the whole team.
Two of passives increase the amount she can heal her party members for, and one of them helps her reset the cooldown of her Elemental Skill after using her Burst. Overall, she’s great for both healing the party and tanking hits because of her high HP and crowd control during her Burst.
3
Bennett
Weapon |
Sword |
---|---|
Vision |
Pyro |
Healing Abilities |
Fantastic Voyage (Elemental Burst) |
Associated Requirement |
First Constellation ‘Grand Expectation’ |
There aren’t many healers with a Pyro vision in Genshin Impact, but Bennett makes up for that. His Elemental Burst can heal the active character inside the field or give them an ATK buff. With his first Constellation, your active character can get an ATK boost and get healed at the same time.
Even when healers weren’t in the meta, Bennett
was one of the most used characters because of his damage-buffing capabilities. He can be used in almost any team because his Burst doesn’t apply a lot of Pyro, so it won’t mess with your reactions.
2
Xianyun
Weapon |
Catalyst |
---|---|
Vision |
Anemo |
Healing Abilities |
Stars Gather at Dusk (Elemental Burst) |
Ever since Xianyun’s release during the Version 4.4 update, there’s been a tough battle between Bennett and her for the crown of the best healer in Genshin Impact. Both characters have unique aspects in their kit that make them better in certain situations, but Xianyun
takes the cake overall since the healing from her Elemental Burst is party-wide and it can follow your active character.
Moreover, Xianyun possesses the Anemo element, which brings in the possibility of using Viridescent Venerer and shredding a bunch of elemental RES from opponents using the Swirl reaction. Finally, she also unlocks the ability to use Plunge Attacks as the main damage source no matter which DPS you’re using.
1
Xilonen
Weapon |
Sword |
---|---|
Vision |
Geo |
Healing Abilities |
Ocelotlicue Point! (Elemental Burst) |
With the situation of Geo in Genshin Impact, it might come as a surprise seeing a character from this element so far up this list, but Xilonen fully deserves this spot. Her healing abilities are nothing to boast about, with her Elemental Burst essentially being able to do the bare minimum of keeping your active character alive even in hectic situations.
However, the real deal is everything else that she brings to the table. With the right weapons and artifact sets, you can provide your party with a ton of Elemental DMG Bonus and ATK while also shredding the enemy’s RES. Unfortunately, if you want to make use of Xilonen’s healing, you’ll have to use her as a support character.
