Starfield Fan Makes Impressive Real-Life Replica of Their Spaceship

A crafty Starfield player online has created an epic recreation of their in-game ship in real life. This Starfield ship craft is a clever way for the player to bring Bethesda’s space RPG into their own home.

Since Starfield‘s release last year, the title has garnered a dedicated community of fans online. This has already translated into a ton of fantastic fan creations celebrating the game. This can come in a variety of ways, from fan art to in-game mods that expand upon Bethesda’s original experience. A short while ago, there was even one Starfield fan who created a neat real-life Digipick replica, which is another example of players taking in-game items and bringing them to life. Given the lifespan of most Bethesda games, Starfield could still essentially be in its infancy despite being a year old; hopefully, this means there’ll be plenty more awesome fan creations for years to come.

YouTuber When Geeks Craft shared a detailed video online chronicling their process of bringing their own Starfield ship to life. The creation is comprised of an impressive 112 parts, all of which have been exported from the game using a program called NifSkope, 3D printed, and hand-painted by the talented gamer. The parts have been glued together, just as they were initially built in Starfield. It’s not to scale, of course – this is a shrunken-down version of their ship, but it’s extremely impressive nonetheless. It’s cool to see each part of the build progress in interesting ways, but it’s the painting process that really makes this creation shine.

The Starfield ship-building feature has undoubtedly been one of the most interesting things to emerge from Bethesda’s 2023 RPG. Most creations involving the game’s ships take place in-game, with players sharing a massive variety of weird and wonderful ship builds online since the game’s release. There was even one player who made their Starfield ship look like Shrek, which was as strange as it sounds. With all these creations in-game, it’s great to see one talented player take it upon themselves to see what their ship would look like in the real world.

With The Elder Scrolls 6 next in the works at Bethesda, and Fallout 5 likely up next after that, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Starfield as a franchise. It’s unlikely a new game will be seen for a while. However, recently, a former Starfield developer commented on the possibility of a sequel, believing it will happen at some point.
