Key Takeaways
- Pokemon’s next two Squishmallows have been revealed.
- Eevee and Chansey will be the next two Pokemon to be turned into Squishmallows, expanding the collection to 14 designs when they’re released.
- When the new Squishmallows will be available and how much they will cost hasn’t yet been revealed.
Pokemon tends to reveal new Squishmallows at a rate of around four per year, usually confirming which will be next to get the elite plush treatment in pairs. Since it kicked off the summer by showing off its Fuecoco and Bellibolt Squishmallows for the first time, with the holidays almost upon us, it was only a matter of time until the next Pokemon Squishmallows were revealed, and that has now happened.
The news doesn’t appear to have been officially shared by Pokemon or Squishmallows creators Jazwares, but the first images of Pokemon’s next Squishmallows have found their way online, and the next two to get the Squish treatment are Eevee and Chansey. A return to Kanto for the next pair of sought-after soft toys after it skipped a few generations and gave some Paldean additions a chance over the summer.

Chansey, in particular, is a very fitting pick to join Pokemon’s Squishmallow collection. Nurse Joy’s partner Pokemon is soft, pink, and egg-shaped, so just about as close to a Squishmallow as a Pokemon can be without Jazwares needing to work much magic. The growths (what are they supposed to be?) on the sides of Chansey’s head have been incorporated into the Squishmallow’s design, as has the egg it keeps in its pouch which sticks out the front of the plush rather than it being embroidered on like Chansey’s hands.
Eevee And Chansey Will Be Pokemon’s Next Squishmallows
The Only Surprise Here Is That This Didn’t Happen Sooner
Eevee’s Squishmallow also has elements added to its base ovoid design to make it unique. Not only pointy ears that protrude from the top of its head, but the Squishmallow has additional plush material sewn around its middle to represent the fluffy fur Eevee has around its neck. It’s unclear how much the Squishmallow pair will cost or when they will be available to buy. However, you’d think they’d be added to the Pokemon Center’s Squishmallow range in time for the holidays, and they’ll almost certainly cost $29.99 each since that’s how much the others have cost.
Considering Eevee tends to be one of Pokemon’s go-tos when it comes to merch and is arguably one of its more popular picks outside of Pikachu and Kanto’s original partner Pokemon, it’s surprising it has taken this long for the Normal-type to be turned into a Squishmallow. Perhaps Pokemon wants to line up Eevee’s Squishmallow release with the launch of the TCG’s Prismatic Evolutions expansion which was revealed on Friday. Now, if Pokemon is taking votes on who should be next to get the Squishmallow treatment, Psyduck is my pick. Seriously, how has that not happened already?
