Robin made her debut very early on in the series as a villain named Miss All Sunday. However, she would eventually join the Straw Hats as the archaeologist of the crew and would later become one of the world’s foremost experts on the Void Century. Despite being the smartest character on the crew, Robin is no pushover in terms of combat, since she has mastery over her Hana Hana no Mi Devil Fruit; a Paramecia type that allows her to sprout many different limbs and body parts from seemingly anywhere.

During the Wano arc, Sanji eventually found himself inside the brothels of one of the strongest of Kaido’s Tobiroppo; Black Maria. Despite the villain dishing an incredible amount of damage to him, Sanji did not reciprocate this due to his rule of never harming a woman, which forced him to cry out to Robin for help. She heard his pleas and stepped into the battle, allowing Sanji to escape the villain’s clutches.

Moreover, Robin felt it was an honor that someone as powerful as Sanji, whom she respected immensely, relied upon her for help, which motivated her greatly in the battle. Initially, Robin’s powers weren’t doing much to Black Maria, who even mocked her Devil Fruit abilities by calling them useless in the situation. This was until Robin unveiled her Demonio Fleurs power.

This seemed to be the strongest version of her Gigantesco Mano ability, where she made a giant version of herself that far eclipsed even Black Maria in size. However, this was different from before because Robin’s skin took a dark-red hue, she seemingly had grown horns on her head, had vampiric fangs in her mouth and massive black wings on her back, making her seem like the devil. With barely any effort, Robin was able to completely defeat Black Maria by breaking her back, subsequently horrifying her subordinates as well.

Now, contrary to popular belief, this ability wasn’t a showing of Robin using any form of haki, as this would have undoubtedly been confirmed at some point. Instead, it was Robin using the abilities of the Hana Hana no Mi to their maximum capacity, making herself a giant and sprouting various body parts to mimic the horns and wings, as the ability to form wings using her limb-sprouting abilities has been showcased before.

Moreover, Robin still showed a great deal of control over her Devil Fruit abilities despite pushing her limits in her Demonio Fleurs state, as she was able to sprout more limbs to hold Black Maria in place while she broke the villain’s back. Although the form wasn’t Robin using Haki or even an awakened state of her fruit, her Demonio Fleurs remains one of the coolest abilities in One Piece and is incredibly powerful.
