How To Get Coldflame Tempest (Blizzard Service Mount) In The 20th Anniversary Event

World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary event gives players the chance to celebrate this monumental milestone with a variety of activities and rewards. Among them is the Coldflame Tempest mount, inspired by the special service awards given to Blizzard employees in recognition of their dedication. This mount is described as the blue-flame cousin of the popular Ashes of Al’ar mount, obtainable from Kael’thas Sunstrider in the Tempest Keep.

The 20th anniversary event will run until January 6, 2025, giving players ample time to enjoy the activities and earn various rewards before it ends. Here’s a quick rundown on how to obtain the Coldflame Tempest mount during the celebration in World of Warcraft.

How to Get the Coldflame Tempest Mount

To obtain the Coldflame Tempest mount, players need to complete the event-exclusive achievement A Cool Twenty Years, located under the Anniversary Celebrations tab in the World Events section of the achievements page. A Cool Twenty Years requires completing eight event achievements:

• I Have That One!
• Fashion Critic
• Pet Mischief
• Balloonist
• Peanut Gallery
• An Original
• A Gatecrasher
• Codex Editor: Ahn’Qiraj

Progress on these achievements will be shared across all characters in the same Warband.

I Have That One!

This achievement requires players to attend the Mount Mania event and match at least one mount with the NPC Abigail Cyrildotr. Mount Mania occurs every hour on the 45-minute mark, right next to the center pavilion. Players can hover over the top of their screen to see the current active event or the upcoming event. Newer players with a limited mount collection may require several participations before Abigail Cyrildotr pulls out a mount they can match.

Fashion Critic

Fashion Critic requires players to participate in the Fashion Frenzy event and cast at least one vote. This event takes place every hour at the 15-minute mark, just north of the center pavilion.

Players don’t need to change their appearance for this achievement. Simply wait for the voting period, when ribbons will appear on the table to the right of the stage. Grab a ribbon and cast a vote on another player to earn Fashion Critic.

Pet Mischief

For Pet Mischief, players need to head to the Pet Corner to loot the one-time Pet Mirror from the chest next to the NPC Petra. Summon a Battle Pet and use the Pet Mirror on it to earn this achievement.

Balloonist

Head to the entrance of the Caverns of Time, where players will find the NPC Isaandrae releasing balloons for players to ride. Click on one of the floating balloons to catch a ride, and after a few seconds, the achievement Balloonist will be completed

Peanut Gallery

The Peanut Gallery achievement requires players to participate in the Story Time event, which occurs every half-hour on the hour and at the 30-minute mark. During the event, extra action buttons will appear for players to use to react to the on-stage performance. To complete this achievement, players need to use these extra action buttons a total of 50 times.

Peanut Gallery cannot be completed in a single session, as each action button has a long cooldown, requiring multiple Story Time sessions. Occasionally, players gain the ability to Throw Rotten Tomatoes at the stage, which can be spammed to speed up achievement progress.

An Original

An Original requires players to defeat one of the Timewalking World Bosses located around Azeroth. Only one of the Dragons of Nightmare will be up each day, so be sure to check the map to see which one is spawned.

A Gatecrasher

A Gatecrasher requires players to defeat at least one of the three Timewalking World Bosses located in Tanaris, the same zone where the 20th-anniversary event is held. Players can use the Premade Group Finder to join a group for these World Bosses.

Codex Editor: Ahn’Qiraj

For this achievement, players need to complete The Codex of Chromie scenario, which takes about 10–15 minutes. Players can queue for this scenario through the Dungeon Finder or by speaking to Chromie, located near the Pet Corner.
