Fortnite’s long-awaited Chapter 2 Remix event is finally here. On Friday, the massively popular free-to-play live-service shooter kicked off the festivities with a mini-concert featuring both Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice in Times Square, New York.
That “Prelude” served as a bombastic tease for what was eventually revealed via a near two-minute long trailer. The trailer officially unveiled skins for Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice, as well as a new skin for Eminem. Not only that, but “Kicks” were also teased, and later confirmed.
Fortnite players will soon be able to equip their character with a pair of Jordans. Not only that, but there will be other Nike shoes, along with “Fortnite Original” shoes, with future brands potentially joining the fold.

Gaming Cannot Afford Another Concord
The video game industry is in a very dangerous place right now.
However, one of the most noteworthy elements of the trailer happened at the very end when a skin of Juice WRLD, the famous rapper who passed away in 2019 at just 21 years old, appeared. Now, it’s been confirmed that the rapper, real name Jarad Anthony Higgins, will be joining the game as a skin.
Juice Is Finally In Fortnite
Per an official post on Fortnite’s website, Chapter 2 Remix will conclude with a special Remix: The Finale event on November 30 at 2 p.m. ET. Through that event Juice WRLD’s life and legacy will be celebrated, and anyone who logs in between November 30 and December 1 will earn the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD Outfit for free.
Fortnite promises to share more details about the event and just how it’ll honor the rapper, but for the time being, his skin will not be a paid cosmetic. That said, if you cannot log in during that period, it’ll be available in the shop down the line, presumably for a nominal fee.
Lucid Dreams And Fortnite Fandom
Gamers might recall that the original Fortnite OG trailer was set to “Lucid Dreams,” Juice’s most famous track. The young rapper was an avid fan of the game, and in a press release, his mother, Carmela Wallace, shared just how meaningful the collaboration is.
“Jarad always loved to play Fortnite – it was more than just entertainment for him, it was a way to connect with others. From a young age, video games were a part of how he bonded with friends and family, and being in Fortnite is an incredible tribute to that connection. I know he would be overjoyed to see how his love for games continues to bring people together across different spaces, just like his music does.”
