Close behind the worldwide launch of Pokemon TCG Pocket comes the first in-game event: The Wonder Pick Event Part One. The Wonder Pick Event introduces new promo cards, currency, and accessories that can only be acquired during the event, so you don’t want to miss it.

Here’s everything you need to know about Wonder Picks in Pokemon Pocket!
Since the in-game announcement is missing some key information, this guide serves to clarify how the Wonder Pick Event Part One works and clear up any confusion about the difference between the two new types of Wonder Picks available. Take a chance, flip those cards, and pick a winner.
What Is The Wonder Pick Event Part 1?
The Wonder Pick Event is a limited-time event in Pokemon TCG Pocket that focuses on the Wonder Pick mechanic. Normally, Wonder Pick allows you to copy a random card from another player’s booster, but during the event, some player boosters are replaced by Chansey Picks and Bonus Picks.
The event also features a new collection of Meowth-themed accessories: a Meowth binder cover and a Meowth backdrop to use with your Displays.
On top of these new cards and accessories, Wonder Pick Event Part One also includes a series of missions to help you earn more Event Shop Tickets, which are redeemable for the event binder cover and backdrops.
The event runs from October 31, 2024 until November 14, 2024.
What Are Chansey Picks And Bonus Picks?
Whenever Wonder Picks reset, there’s a chance that they’ll be a Chansey Pick or a Bonus Pick instead. These are not guaranteed to appear, so you may go several cycles without seeing either.
These special picks can show up in the Expired section, so make sure you scroll all the way down.
Chansey Picks are special Wonder Pick packs that feature five promotional cards instead of five randomized ones. These promos will be a mix of Chansey and Meowth, but either way, you’re guaranteed to get a promo card from the pack. Chansey Picks cost two Wonder Stamina to pick from.
Bonus Picks are free Wonder Picks that contain cards and items. A Bonus Pick pack contains two Event Shop Tickets, two Wonder Hourglasses, and a Meowth card.
Since the event Missions provide enough Event Shop Tickets to buy all the accessories, the Wonder Hourglasses are the best pull from these packs unless you’re in a hurry or trying to get Flair for your Meowth.
Wonder Pick Event Part 1 Missions
There are seven new missions in the Wonder Pick Event Part 1, which collectively award enough Event Shop Tickets to buy all the new accessories.

The missions do not clarify that only promo Chansey and Meowth cards count towards the missions. Chansey and Meowth, which you pull from standard boosters or from the Bonus Pick, do not count towards the first four missions.
The Chansey and Meowth card missions require you to find Chansey Picks and will cost a minimum of eight Wonder Stamina to complete. Wonder Stamina recharges at a rate of one every 12 hours, so this should be the focus of your Wonder Picks until you have all the cards you’re after.
The remaining three missions can be completed by just doing Chansey and Bonus Picks, but you’ll also be able to complete them doing your normal picks if you aren’t interested in the event or are unlucky enough to never see event picks.
Wonder Pick Event Part 1 Shop
The Wonder Pick Event shop is in the Limited Time / Events tab of the shop, and contains three new accessories: A Meowth cover for your Binder, a Meowth backdrop, and a Pink Desk Frame backdrop for your display boards.
Each of these items is available for three Event Shop Tickets, and no other items are available during the first part of the event.
The Event Shop is open until November 20, so if you don’t get a chance to redeem your Event Shop Tickets before the end of the event, there are a few days of leeway at the tail end.
