Black Ops 6 Update Made Change Not Mentioned in the Patch Notes

The latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 secretly fixed the glitch that made it easier for players to unlock Diamond and Dark Matter camos. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is barely over a week old, yet the first-person shooter has already received multiple updates. In fact, the latest update for the game was dropped on November 1.

The November 1 update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fixed lingering bugs, addressed some balance issues, and added fan favorite map Nuketown to the game. The latest Call of Duty update also kicked off the first double XP weekend for Black Ops 6, though its implementation has not been particularly well-received by fans. Most of the changes made to Black Ops 6 were detailed in the update’s patch notes, but one change was made without any acknowledgment by the developers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans aren’t happy with the shooter’s very first Double XP weekend, as there appears to be a serious issue affecting players.

As pointed out by Dexerto, the latest Black Ops 6 update secretly fixed a glitched Diamond camo challenge that let players complete the challenge for getting three kills without dying 10 times by simply getting 30 kills total across all of their multiplayer matches. A similar glitch impacting the Dark Matter camo was also fixed. While some fans may be disappointed that they missed out on the chance to take advantage of these exploits, others will be happy that the challenges are now working as intended.

There are still some problems plaguing Call of Duty: Black Oops 6 that will hopefully be fixed in future updates. The game is suffering from some technical issues, like Black Ops 6 players getting kicked for inactivity when they’re actively playing, for example. While there is still work to be done, Black Ops 6 reviews have been mostly positive, and fan reaction to the game has also been incredibly impressive. Black Ops 6 has smashed day one player count records for the Call of Duty franchise and while some have complaints, it seems many agree that the game is the best Call of Duty in years.

Black Ops 6 should only get better as time goes on. While it remains to be seen if Treyarch will address the controversial Black Ops 6 Recon perk, fans can count on new maps, game modes, and more to be added to the game through seasonal content updates. Black Ops 6 Season 1 starts on November 14, with major new updates expected to come throughout 2025.
