When is the Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date? It’s almost time for Call of Duty’s annual cycle to reset once again as Treyarch has confirmed the BO6 Season 1 schedule. Alongside a “colossal” amount of new maps, modes, weapons, Zombies content, and more for Black Ops 6, it also ushers in a new era for Call of Duty Warzone.
There is already an enormous offering in Black Ops 6 following its launch, with a double-dose of round-based Zombies maps, loads of multiplayer maps and modes, and a campaign that is actually good – about time, eh? Even before Season 1 kicks off, Treyarch is dropping some exciting new bits into the FPS game. You can already play the eternally-fun Infected mode, and later this week a new version of CoD’s classic Nuketown map will arrive too. However, its first proper season is where things will get really interesting.
While we’re still awaiting a proper breakdown of all the new content that’s coming, Treyarch has teased that “a colossal amount of free content like all-new multiplayer maps and modes” will hit the game. There is also a “terrifying” third Zombies map coming midway through Season 1, and of course there will be a new battle pass filled to the brim with new weapons, operators, blueprints, and cosmetics to unlock.
While Season 1 is a big deal for Black Ops 6, it’s arguably an even bigger deal for Warzone. As is now tradition, Black Ops 6’s arsenal will be made available in the battle royale game, and that means our guide on the best Warzone guns (and your loadouts) are going to need an overhaul. BO6’s Omnimovement system is going to be implemented as well, adding a new level of dynamism to Warzone’s gameplay. On top of all of that, there’s the new Warzone map Area 99, which will debut on day one of the new season.
Area 99 is a smaller-scale Resurgence map rather than a full-sized battleground, but a fresh arena is never to be sniffed at. It carries on the Nuketown theme by also being set in the Nevada desert, and there you’ll find a facility that actually fabricates the iconic map’s fake houses.
So, how long have you got to wait until all of this new content arrives in both Call of Duty experiences?
Treyarch has confirmed that the Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date will be Thursday, November 14 2024.
Until then, check out some of the best Black Ops 6 loadouts in the game right now – some may even translate over to Warzone very well when Season 1 hits.
