The mighty spear is a great choice of weaponry in Elden Ring. Here are the best ones in the game!

Elden Ring contains a staggering list of over 300 weapons to wield! Players can hone gigantic battleaxes, tiny daggers, and even the hair of a giant. There are so many weapons in Elden Ring that it is almost impossible to just choose one. Thankfully, From Software has implemented an extremely fun dual-wielding mechanic in the game that lets players wield two weapons they like for double the fun. Some of these combinations will make players an Elden Lord in no time!

Updated on November 2, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: Elden Ring offers players many varieties of how they want to hold their weapons. For example, you can hold a weapon and a staff/seal, or two weapons with both hands. The type of weapon is not specified, meaning Tarnished has great possibilities for what they could use in battle. In short, it’s possible to mix and match the weapons to try different combinations, or simply use a dual-wield weapon.

17 Dual Sacrificial Axes

The Tarnished can wield a plethora of different abilities to mix up their build and conquer their enemies. Some Ashes of War will completely trivialize the game and make the Tarnished a one-person army. With great power there must also come a limited amount of FP and this can become the players only shackle to really becoming an Elden Lord.

This limiter makes the Sacrificial Axe an amazing choice. Given their innate abilities of getting FP back for every kill they are a battery source that will keep the Tarnished charged forever.

16 Crows Talons

The Crows Talons are a claw weapon in Elden Ring that do amazing damage with astronomical ferocity. Pairing these weapons with a Keen upgrade makes them extremely dangerous! Pairing them with a Poison upgrade and items that increase damage when poison is in the vicinity makes for a fun playthrough as well!

If the player ever wanted to feel like X-23 from the X-Men series this is the best way to do it!

15 Darkmoon Greatsword And Any Torch

With these two weapons The Tarnished will be singing a different Song of Ice and Fire. With the frost build up present in the Darkmoon Greatsword’s innate skill and the fire damage from the Torch, players will be able to trigger the frost status effect then immediately reset it with fire damage.

Yes, it is as overpowered as it sounds! This will cause a burst of damage with every trigger and make enemies health bars drop to zero before they can even realize what happened!

14 Frost Weapon And Blood Weapon

Status effects are extremely lethal in Elden Ring. When the game first dropped, bleed was an extremely overpowered effect in the game. Since then, bleed is still amazing, but other status effects have had time to shine like frost buildup.

Making a build around two weapons that create these two status effects will create a build that has a damage output out of a horror movie! The average damage might be minimal, but the burst damage when they trigger will be incredible!

13 Dual Scavenger’s Curved Sword

The Scavenger’s Curved Sword can only be found once in Elden Ring which means players need to get it either in NG+ or acquire it from another Tarnished world. The sword has a Bleed passive and can be equipped with numerous Ashes of War. Additionally, the weapon mainly scales with Strength and Dexterity.

It’s possible to play around with the Ashes of War and available upgrades to get different combinations every time. For example, upgrading one of the Scavenger’s Curved Swords with a Bleed affinity and the second one with an Occult affinity will not only increase the Bleed stats but will also improve the weapon’s overall physical damage.

12 Colossal Greatswords

Dual-wielding the Colossal Greatsword weapon is perfect for any player who dons the “Big Stick” ideology. The combatant with the bigger weapons must be the more favorable winner, yes?

Combine duplicates of this weapon with the “Royal Knights Resolve” Ash of War and players will have themselves a build that will warrant them their own boss music! The only drawback is its staggering weight and the fact that players will need a friend to trade with or a second playthrough to get two of them.

11 Rivers Of Blood And Blood Uchigatana

Next is one of the weapons that is considered to be king in the present meta. The Rivers of Blood Katana is a bleed weapon that scales with the Arcane stat that absolutely massacres anyone put up against it.

With an amazing bleed effect and an even better innate Ash of War, the Rivers of Blood is a weapon capable enough on its own. Mix this with a Blood Infused Uchigatana and opponents blood will actually flow like a river.

10 Rellana’s Twin Blades

The Rellana’s Twin Blades offer players two medium-length swords imbued in both Magic (right) and Fire (left). Tarnished can obtain the weapon by defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight in Castle Ensis. As she is an optional boss, there is a chance that players could miss out on the Twin Blades if they choose to progress along another path.

Attacking swiftly and relentlessly, Rellana poses a great challenge for even the most seasoned Souls veterans.

The Twin Blades, whether you are holding them in one hand or dual-wielding, have a great set of moves that can be spammed to deal great damage. Additionally, holding a stance while holding both swords allows you to perform a succession of Magic attacks with the light attack or summon a Fire tornado when using the heavy attack.

9 Dual Godskin Peeler And Twinblade

Sometimes the best quality to have in a weapon is speed. The major draw to dual-wielding, in general, is increasing the speed at which they are throwing out attacks. With dual Twinblade in Elden Ring, it almost feels like players are quad wielding four different blades with how many attacks the character is performing.

Mix this with a frost or blood infusion, and players will have a combination that can build up status effects in a blink of an eye.

8 Dual Blood Falchions

When speaking about dual wielding, it is a cardinal sin not to mention the most comfortable dual-wielding option. With a playstyle very reminiscent of the Sellsword Twinblades from Dark Souls 3, dual-wielding Falchion in Elden Ring are just as dominant.

Renna’s Rise is one of the three towers that make up the Three Sisters. Players must do a few things for Ranni before being able to get in, though.

With a fast attack combo and amazing damage output, the Falchions are just what dual-wielding weapons are supposed to feel like. Add the obligatory bleed effect, and players will feel like they are playing Elden Ring on easy mode.

7 Dancing Blade Of Ranah

Dancing Blade of Ranah Build in Shadow of the Erdtree 9

The Dancing Blade of Ranah is a pair of curved swords that can be equipped in one or two hands. Its unique skill, Unending Dance, allows players to spin around elegantly and slash unsuspecting enemies as if dancing to a lovely tune. You can keep attacking as long as your Stamina allows it.

Leveling up the weapon to the final level using Somber Smithing Stones will transform the Dexterity scale from B to A, which is great if you prefer speed to strength type of weapon. To get the Dancing Blade of Ranah, you must defeat the Dancer of Ranah at the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, which is accessed from the Cerulean Coast region.

6 Greatsword Of Radahn (Lord)

Elden Ring - Greatsword of Radahn (Lord)

Upon defeating the two phases of the final boss in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you will get a Remembrance which allows Tarnished to choose between three items and one of them is the Greatsword of Radahn (Lord). While similar in shape to the Radahn’s Greatsword, it will deal Holy damage instead of the usual gravity damage.

Upon unleashing the unique skill, Promised Consort, the dual-wielded greatswords will be imbued in Holy damage and swing around while sending multiple light pillars at unsuspecting enemies. The Skill has a decent range and can be done against a group of enemies or one single target.

5 Dual Reduvia

The Reduvia is one of the most well-known and used daggers as it is obtainable quite early on in Elden Ring. It possesses a Bleed passive paired with the Reduvia Blood Blade default Skill that will definitely cause massive Blood Loss. Additionally, it’s not a secret that daggers are weapons of speed.

Now, imagine two Reduvia daggers with all their Bleed, Skills, damage, and speed while fighting an enemy or a boss. The daggers will certainly be fun to wield and will help Tarnished trigger Blood Loss very quickly.

4 Dual Golden Halberds

Clearly Elden Ring has favored players who prefer two big weapons as opposed to one! Usually with a bigger weapon, there is a major flaw. Speed is often what is forfeited when choosing to bring out the big guns. This can cause a real problem considering how punishing some bosses, like Malenia, can be for sitting ducks.

While the Golden Halberd are by no means fast, they offer a very safe range for the player to help in the safety department. They pack a wallop, but also keep the player away from wallops as well!

3 Dual Starscourge Greatswords

A weapon’s cool factor should come into play a certain amount when comparing it to others. In the Starscourge Greatsword case, it just so happens that it is both cool and efficient. This Colossal Weapon is wielded by the infamous Starscourge Radahn located in Redmane Castle and is perhaps one of the coolest looking swords in the game.

This sword also contains a gravity move as its Ash of War that brings opponents within arm’s length, which the opponent should not want to be.

2 Death’s Poker And Sword Of Milos

Combining Death’s Poker and Sword of Milos is a deadly combination especially if the Tarnished is built with the correct Talismans and Armor. The main star of the show is actually Death’s Poker with its Frost build-up and Intelligence scaling. As for the Sword of Milos, it’s equipped on the left-hand thanks to its Unique Skill in Elden Ring.

By unleashing the Shriek of Milos Unique Skill, players will apply a 15% debuff to all damage resistance on enemies. This will significantly improve the Death’s Poker overall damage, causing massive Frost build-up. Additionally, the Sword of Milos has a hidden passive where it regains FP every time an enemy is slain. At this point, players might as well solo all the bosses without the help of any buff or summons.

1 Dual Hoslow’s Petal Whips

Tarnished Wielding Dual Haslow's Petal Whip Elden Ring in Haligtree, Plaza

Players who have progressed through the quest line of Volcano Manor have had the misfortune of going up against Diallos’s brother, Juno, one of the recusants. Juno wields two whips that cause blood loss buildup, and he is certainly not afraid to use them.

Wielding dual Hoslow’s Petal Whip gives the player an amazing amount of range and damage output. For being a whip, they pack a punch and a quick punch at that!
