Like always, players need to collect special tokens, called pickaxes, to dig tiles and uncover hidden treasures on a grid. Monopoly GO players have two main strategies for maximizing their rewards in digging events: finish the dig early or wait until the last second. What Is The Best Time To Complete The Haunted Treasures Digging Event?

Once you’ve completed all 25 levels and dug up all the spooky treasures in the Haunted Treasures minigame, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts. Additionally, any leftover Pickaxe tokens that you haven’t used will automatically be converted into Dice Rolls at a ratio of 1:3. This means that each unused Pickaxe will turn into three valuable Dice Rolls. So, if you have 10 extra Pickaxes, you’ll get 30 Dice Rolls for free. As such, the more pickaxes you collect, the more dice you get.

Considering this, most people believe that waiting until the last second to complete the Haunted Treasures dig event is better, but that’s not really the case. While waiting increases your dice count, it comes at the cost of missing out on extra rewards from the ongoing solo event and leaderboard tournament in Monopoly GO.

Instead, players should complete their Haunted Treasures dig event as soon as possible. By completing the event early, all the pickaxe token rewards in the top event and side tournament change into dice, sticker packs, and cash in Monopoly GO. In the past, the pickaxes only turned into money, which is why everyone waited to collect more pickaxes before completing their big events.

Since the pickaxes in the top and side events will now be changed into dice too, you can complete the dig event early and continue playing to get a chance to win a lot more dice—a much better alternative to the typical 1:3 pickaxe-to-dice conversion.

However, with this strategy, you’ll have to use the Wild Card earlier. As such, the best time to complete the Haunted Treasures minigame would be after claiming the Purple Pack from the last Quick Wins milestones on Sunday. The Purple Pack gives you a guaranteed five-star sticker (including gold stickers) and can even give you the opportunity to obtain a new sticker. If you wait until Sunday, you have more flexibility in using your Wild Card and can choose another new sticker that you need to complete your album faster.
