Best Crowd Control (CC) In Genshin Impact
There are two types of Crowd Control (CC) in Genshin Impact. The first is when a character collects enemies in one place, like how some Anemo characters do with their wind attacks, while the second is when a unit disables an enemy by keeping them in place, like Mona’s Bubble or Zhongli’s Petrification.

While CC doesn’t work on all enemies, it’s still an important part of the battle mechanic. Crowd Control helps players to either deal with enemies faster, or bring a safer combat by incapacitating them. Here’s a list of the best crowd controllers in Genshin Impact.
6 Mona
At launch, Mona was one of the best Supports in Genshin Impact. While she’s still viable as a buffer later on, she’s still behind compared to the later characters. Back in the days when there weren’t a lot of big enemies, Mona could bully the smaller ones. Mona’s Ult can trap smaller enemies in a bubble for a few seconds before it pops, dealing massive Hydro DMG.
Mona’s bubble is not the only CC she has, since she’s a Hydro unit in Genshin Impact. Mona can be part of every Freeze team where you can keep enemies frozen for long periods. To trigger the Frozen reaction, Mona will need another Cryo unit in her team, and they’re set to CC enemies endlessly.
5 Jean
Jean is a great healer in Genshin Impact. She’s also a good battery for Anemo users because of how much energy she generates when using her Elemental Skill. Additionally, that’s not the only thing her Skill is useful for. Jean can push enemies away from her when casting her Skill. Even better, if you hold her Elemental Skill, Jean will pull enemies around her and then yeet them away. Even if it’s a small CC ability, it can still be useful in some situations, such as yeeting Klee away from pools before she explodes them.
4 Sucrose
While being a 4-star unit in Genshin Impact, Sucrose is still a viable Support character who can offer a lot to her team. Sucrose grants her team an insane Elemental Mastery buff alongside shredding enemies’ resistance with her Viridescent Venerer set. Of course, as an Anemo unit, Sucrose should have a CC, and she does it on both her Elemental Skill and Burst.

When it comes to Genshin Impact characters, the existing varieties aren’t only limited to rarity and Vision. They can also be distinguished by their gameplay difficulties and even building standards, where some Genshin Impact units are tremendously difficult to build, while some others are rather effortless.
When casting her Elemental Burst, Sucrose will create a field that will bounce enemies around every few seconds. As for her Elemental Skill, Sucrose launches an Anemo attack that will knock enemies and pull them into one spot. The nice thing about her Elemental Skill is that she gets to use it again if you unlock her C1, and even a third time if you give her a Sacrificial weapon in Genshin Impact.
3 Zhongli
Zhongli is a strong shielder in Genshin Impact. Not only that, he’s also a decent debuffer, where he reduces enemies’ resistance to every Element around him, making him a viable unit to have in every team.

Other than his amazing Supportive utilities, Zhongli can also launch a Madara meteor on enemies when casting his Elemental Burst, petrifying them for a few seconds. Petrified enemies can’t move for the entire duration, giving Zhongli a decent CC ability to add to his arsenal.
2 Venti
Although Venti fell harshly from the Meta, he still has one of the most humiliating CC in Genshin Impact. Starting with the nice CC, when casting his Elemental Skill, Venti will launch enemies into the air with a strong Anemo attack. However, when casting his Elemental Burst, Venti will shoot an arrow made of countless coalesced winds, creating a huge Stormeye that sucks in opponents. The humiliating part of that Ult is enemies will start bouncing up and down, causing them to be completely inactive for the entirety of the Ult’s duration.
1 Kazuha
There’s no doubt that Kazuha powercrept the Anemo Archon since Venti immediately fell from the Meta after his debut in Genshin Impact. When casting Kazuha’s Elemental Skill, he will pull enemies around him and jump with them, collecting them underneath him. He will then plunge, pushing them away from him. For people who want to collect enemies in one spot, you can neglect plunging with Kazuha after his Skill to keep them in one place.
Kazuha’s second CC is when unleashing his Elemental Burst, he’ll create an Anemo field that can absorb different elements. Every two seconds, the field will launch an Anemo attack that will knock out enemies in its path. Kazuha’s arsenal is filled with strong Supportive utilities alongside a lot of Crowd Control to the point of keeping enemies Controlled for long durations.
