YouTube star Minato Aqua was the most popular female streamer in Q3 2024, based on peak viewer figures. That’s according to a recently emerged report that suggests the majority of the most-watched female streamers during this period were active on YouTube rather than Twitch.
This data comes from Streams Charts, a third-party tracker that regularly reports on streaming industry trends. In recent years, the analytics company’s insights suggested that VTuber personas have been taking over female streaming.

Only two content creators from the newly shared list defy this trend. One is the Puerto Rican streamer Alondrissa, who registered 151,000 peak concurrent viewers and consequently placed third in the rankings. The other is Twitch star Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, whose 121,000 viewer peak had her ranked fifth in the third quarter of 2024. Amouranth is also the most prolific among Streams Charts’ top 10 content creators, on account of being live for over 1,221 hours during the observed period. That’s nearly 51 days of airtime in a span of just three months. The rest of the top 10 spent 1,650 hours streaming combined in Q3.
Not only is the newly shared chart dominated by virtual personas, but all of them ranked in the top 10 happen to be Hololive VTubers. This serves as yet another testament to how far the Tokyo-based talent agency has gotten since its 2016 beginnings, and suggests that its content creation efforts are currently at their absolute peak. Hololive’s Japanese branch is still the most successful of the lot, although the Q3 2024 top 10 list does include one of its English channels, Koseki Bijou, which placed 10th with a concurrent viewer peak of 80,000.
Looking at the bigger picture, Hololive’s Usada Pekora is still leading the rankings for 2024’s most-watched female streamer. Her YouTube channel has so far amassed over 26 million hours of watch time since the turn of the year and seems likely to keep growing in the near term.
