Splatoon 3 Reveals Event Roadmap for November
Key Takeaways
- November brings new challenges to Splatoon 3 like team duels and inkjet-centric matches.
- The Eggstra Work Salmon Run shift on Nov 8-10 will offer rewards for collecting the most Golden Eggs.
Splatoon 3‘s November event roadmap has been revealed, which includes a set of new challenges for players to tackle and an Eggstra Work Salmon Run shift. Splatoon 3 has been one of Nintendo’s most prominent titles on the Switch platform, offering its players an exclusive online multiplayer third-person shooter that was maintained for over two years. The game was supported with regular seasonal events and content updates, the most prominent of them being the Splatfests.
While the Grand Festival Splatfest marked the end of major Splatoon 3 content updates, the game will be cycling through various seasonal events and past Splatfest themes. The most recent Splatfest featured the return of a Splatoon 2 theme, asking what a player would be in a fantasy world, the Splatfest known colloquially as Splatoween. Splatoween concluded near the end of October, with Big Man and Team Ninja winning overall. Splatoon 3 recently revealed what to expect for the month of November.

Splatoon 3’s Loss May Be the Switch 2’s Gain
Splatoon 3 recently held its final Splatfest, but a decline in support for the game could be good news for both fans of the series and the Switch 2.
In a new tweet posted on the official Splatoon Twitter account, it revealed several limited-time Splatoon 3 challenges for players to try out. These challenges will run for a day each and hit players in any of Splatoon 3‘s various PvP modes with an extra bonus on top, such as higher jumps in Extreme Jump Battle or randomized weapons in Sheldon’s Sampler. November’s challenges include things like “Inkjets for Everyone!,” which restricts players to only using main weapons that have Splatoon 3‘s Inkjet special weapon.
Splatoon 3’s November 2024 Roadmap:
- Duel of Dynamic Duos Challenge (Multiplayer matches use teams of two instead of four): November 1-2
- Eggstra Work Salmon Run Shift: November 8-10
- Inkjets for Everyone! Challenge (Limits players to main weapons that come with the Inkjet special weapon): November 10-11
- Swim It to Win It Challenge (Increased Swim Speed for all players): November 19-20
- Work the Angles Challenge (Limits players to main weapons that come with the Angle Shooter subweapon): November 28-29
- Monthly Challenge (In Turf War, only primary gear abilities will be enabled, while secondary gear abilities are disabled): November 29-30
The bigger thing that this schedule revealed is an Eggstra Work Salmon Run shift, which will be running from November 8-10, 2024. Splatoon 3‘s Eggstra Work is a limited-time event that challenges players to collect the most Golden Eggs, with special rewards being given for participating. More rewards are given if the player is within a certain top percentage and if their high score is within a certain threshold. The last Eggstra Shift was in July 2024.
As major content updates for Splatoon 3 have wrapped up and the game is currently cycling through its older themes, Nintendo is also shifting its focus towards its next console. No word has been given on when fans can expect Splatoon to show up on the Nintendo Switch’s successor, though there are rumors about a Splatoon 4 already being in development. Fans will just need to wait and see, as the Switch is currently still getting new releases, such as the upcoming Mario and Luigi: Brothership and the recently revealed Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
