Prestige Isn’t The Only Longtime Feature Black Ops 6 Makes More Enticing

It is safe to say that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has made its mark on the gaming industry, with the recent release having the most successful launch weekend of any title in the franchise’s history. While this will have been helped by the game’s eye-catching presence on the Xbox Game Pass service from day one, the title has a sense of change and evolution throughout its many modes that has clearly resonated with fans.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has done well to spice up its approaches to its campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies, with some iconic and longstanding franchise mechanics being tweaked to make them all the more attractive to players. A huge example of this is how the game has handled the iconic Prestige system for its multiplayer, with Black Ops 6 honoring the traditional iterations of this mechanic while introducing some fantastic potential rewards. This has also been extended to the Zombies experience of Black Ops 6, with the rewards behind the completion of Easter eggs being bigger and better than ever before.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s momentum continues into its second weekend, with November 1 now shaping up to be a massive day for players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Makes its Prestige Mode and Zombies Easter Eggs Worth the Player’s Time

A lot of the early discussion being had around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s multiplayer concerns its Prestige Mode, with the game doing away with the controversial seasonal Prestige system of more recent Call of Duty titles in favor of the classic level 55 approach. There is now once again a real element of risk and reward to the Prestige system in Black Ops 6, as entering the mode sets the player back to level one and locks all weapons, perks, equipment, field upgrades, and wild cards that players will have previously had access to.

Like past CoD entries, Black Ops 6‘s Prestige Mode does grant players one permanent unlock per Prestige, but there are still a wide range of rewards that can entice players to tackle the Prestige system even further. Each of Black Ops 6‘s ten prestige tiers comes with five rewards that are unlocked through further leveling, coming in the form of things like loading screens, emblems, charms, weapon blueprints, and even operator skins.

This gives a level of tangible reward associated with Prestige that has not really been seen in past CoD titles, and this has thankfully been extended to some of the hardest feats associated with Black Ops 6 Zombies. Major Easter egg quests have been a huge and challenging element of CoD Zombies for some time, and while the completion of them could reward a player with perks and weapons for a given match in the past, Black Ops 6 now has permanent and flashy rewards tied to its own Easter eggs.

Black Ops 6’s Scale of Rewards is Great For Player Engagement

Across Liberty Falls and Terminus, the completion of their respective main Easter eggs grants players a Ray Gun skin and a unique operator skin, marking a huge step forward for how players can showcase their Zombies-based achievements. These rewards are extended to calling cards in Black Ops 6, with players earning unique cards for Easter egg completion, including a special card for completing an Easter egg prior to its in-game guide releasing.

While there will always be a strong community surrounding Zombies Easter eggs regardless of any bonuses, it is nice to see dedicated players being properly rewarded for what can be quite difficult feats to achieve. These new Easter egg rewards encourage players to engage with everything Black Ops 6‘s Zombies has to offer, and, alongside the bonuses tied to the multiplayer Prestige system, the title does more than enough to keep fans occupied.
