MW3 & Warzone x The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus – Dates & how to earn free rewards

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 6 brings The Haunting to both games, and the devs are doubling down on the horror theme with a new The Walking Dead crossover event – Road to Terminus.

AMC’s hit zombies series and Call of Duty first began collaborating back in Season 2, when Rick Grimes and Michonne arrived as Operators. Now, with the likes of Michael Myers and Art the Clown coming in Season 6, a new TWD crossover is on the way.

Here’s everything you need to know about The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus event in MW3 and Warzone, including how to earn free rewards.

MW3 & Warzone Road to Terminus start date

The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus event gets underway on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, one week after the MW3 and Warzone Season 6 update drops. It will then run for seven days until Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

This means you have just one week to collect all the rewards available during the event, so you’ll have to act fast.

The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus event explained

Road to the Terminus is an event where players can earn free Walking Dead rewards simply by playing matches. As confirmed by the MW3 and Warzone Season 6 blog, all you have to do is hit specific XP milestones to progress and unlock cosmetics.

The XP dished out is based on your performance in matches, so make sure you’re racking up kills and playing the objective in multiplayer, and surviving until the latter stages in BR.

Luckily, if you want to speed up your progress, you can do so by equipping the Daryl Dixon Operator. Doing this will grant you additional in every match you play as the crossbow-wielding hunter, guaranteeing you XP even if the match doesn’t play out the way you hoped.

The downside is that Dixon is only available as a purchase from the CoD Store, and will likely be released close to the start of the Road to Terminus event.

Although the full slate of rewards are yet to be revealed for the next The Walking Dead event in MW3 and Warzone, here are the types of unlocks you can expect to see:

• Sprays
• Double XP Tokens

Warzone and MW3 Season 6 is also set to introduce two guns, the DTIR 30-06 and Kastov LSW, as well as the new Purgatory mode.
