Evka and Antoine are your points of contact for this mission, tasking you with preparing for the coming onslaught and helping to push back the Darkspawn invaders. There are two major fights during this quest, but luckily, you’ll only need to play one of them out to its completion, as the latter clash only requires you to survive for a given period, and doesn’t require every enemy to fall.

How To Help The Grey Wardens Defend Lavendel In Something Wicked

Your quest begins with a simple task: check in with the Grey Wardens Evka and Antoine. Once the conversation ends, your quest will update and ask you to go check in with the three Grey Warden sentries.

Leave the Grey Hold and follow your marker, first heading left to the large door leading to the Lavendel Barricade.

Speak to the Warden Jaynie here and ensure they’re prepared for what’s to come.

Head back into Lavendel and go southeast toward the Blighted Tunnel to talk to Warden Greta, who is more than ready to defeat some Darkspawn.

With two Wardens down, follow your marker to the west, where you’ll find Warden Augustine, who also affirms his readiness.

All the Wardens are ready, so you should return to Evka and Antoine in front of the Grey Hold.

Once you report that everyone is prepared, you must follow your marker to defeat Darkspawn at Sheltered Glade.

Several varieties of enemies appear, including Greater Hurlocks (weak to Fire, resist Necrotic), Ghouls, and Emissaries who all share the same weaknesses.

As you defeat the lesser enemies, more difficult ones will replace them for the next wave.

You will know you’ve completed a wave when you receive 300 XP.

From here, you’ll receive two new objectives:

  • Defeat Darkspawn at the gates
  • Check on the Wardens

Head to the eastern marker to see how the Wardens are doing; unsurprisingly, they’re fine and ready for more action.

From here, go north to enter a large-scale battle with the Darkspawn at the gates of Lavendel.

Prepare for Greater Hurlocks and other powerful enemies and be ready to exploit their weaknesses to Fire.

After you endure the continuous attack for a bit, a cutscene with Evka and Antoine in battle will trigger, concluding the fight.

What Rewards Do You Get From Something Wicked?

Rook receives their Something Wicked Rewards in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Letting the cutscene play out will conclude Something Wicked, and reward you with the following:

  • 1,750 XP
  • Bond increases with your companions
  • Dragonfire Crystals
  • Gold
  • 300 Grey Wardens Strength

Considering how little time this quest should take to finish, the rewards are more than worth the time requirement.
