The Black Ops 6 Zombies map Liberty Falls harbors many secrets, including free Power-Ups that players can get their hands on.
While the basics of Exfil remain similar to the original concept, Black Ops 6’s Zombies feature much more aggressive enemies right from the first exfiltration round. Many players have criticized this change, calling BO6’s Exfil “impossible.” However, this guide will demonstrate that, despite the increased difficulty, exfiltration is still achievable—especially with proper preparation.
What Does Exfil Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
In Black Ops 6 Zombies, successful Exfil means you leave the map with a chopper without being killed by zombies. Besides providing an ending, this is one of four ways to conclude the Zombies mode and collect rewards; the other three are completing the story, being killed, or leaving the match manually, with or without saving.
How Can You Exfil in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Starting from round 11, you can attempt to Exfil by interacting with the Exfiltration Radio that appears on the map. This radio shows up at a designated spot for one round every five waves after the tenth round, and you can activate it by holding the action button next to it.
After requesting an Exfil, you need to reach the escape point located on the other side of the map. Once you arrive at the extraction point, a countdown timer begins, during which you must eliminate all spawned zombies. The time allotted and the number of zombies attacking you vary based on your round progression. For example, if you attempt to Exfil at round 11, you will have one minute and twenty-five seconds to take out 35 zombies.
How to Vote for Exfil in Zombies?
In squad matches, players vote on whether to Exfil or not once a player initiates the process. Other team members can vote by holding up on the D-pad. If a player ignores the prompt, it counts as a vote against the decision, which cancels the Exfil process. In teams of three to four players, at least two players must agree for the exfiltration process to begin.
What Happens If You Fail to Exfil?
If a team fails to kill all the zombies within the allotted time or reach the designated escape point quickly enough, the session will end, resulting in all players dying. This is depicted by a cutscene of the chopper going down, followed by the standard scoreboard screen that leads players back to the lobby.
What Is the Reward for Exfiltration in BO6 Zombies?
The reward for a successful Exfil in Black Ops 6 Zombies is bonus XP. If you Exfiltrate instead of dying to zombies, your points are nearly doubled, speeding up the level-up process. Additionally, if you Exfil in round 16 or later, you have a chance to earn Whimsical GobbleGums, with the likelihood of obtaining them increasing at higher waves.
Exfil Round |

---|---|
Round 15-29 |
1 Whimsical GobbleGum |
Round 30-44 |
2 Whimsical GobbleGum |
Round 45+ |

How Should You Prepare for Exfil in Zombies?
- Get a Chopper Gunner killstreak.
- Max out your armor.
- Use the Kill Joy (insta-kill) GobbleGum.
- Exploit Cymbal Monkeys.
Before attempting an Exfil, prepare for a massive wave of enemies, especially at higher levels. Acquire a Chopper Gunner for aerial support, a Kill Joy gum to eliminate enemies with one shot, and some Cymbal Monkey bombs to distract zombie hordes. Additionally, make sure to equip the best armor to absorb more damage.
How Can You Save Your Game in BO6 Zombies?
When playing BO6 Zombies solo, you can press the pause button and select “Save & Leave” to exit the game without losing your progress. Each player can have only one save—whether on Terminus or Liberty Falls—and each save file lasts for 30 days before it expires and is deleted from your device.
You cannot save the game on split-screen mode, and it’s only available if you’re playing alone.
