Epic Games just held an event for Fortnite Remix called The Prelude that confirmed Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and Juice Wrld are coming to The Island.

As you’d probably expect from one of the biggest games of all time, Fortnite has had a pretty big year in 2024. We’ve had Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing (RIP), and a ton of different and exciting crossovers that are just scratching the surface of Epic’s partnership with Disney. That’s great and all, but it doesn’t quite come close to what happened last year.

In a bid to go back to the good old days of Fortnite, Epic released an OG mini-season that brought things back to Chapter 1. It was enormously popular and one of the biggest hits Fortnite has had in a while, with fans instantly begging for it to be made a permanent mode or turned into a yearly seasonal event.

Well, that’s exactly what happened. Nearly a year later, Epic has decided to do an OG season for Chapter 2, titled Fortnite Remix. While the title is a bit different, this is basically what you’d expect from the concept albeit with a bit more remixing involved. To celebrate the mode’s impending arrival on November 2, Epic held an event called Fortnite Remix: The Prelude, which is actually a multi-part affair.

The event kicked off with a live performance from Ice Spice and Snoop Dogg, which made it clear that the two are coming to Fortnite as part of the Remix mini-season. After the performance, a trailer was shown for Fortnite Remix that gave us our first look at the map and confirmed that the season is adding skins for Snoop, Ice Spice, and another version of Eminem. Snoop’s mansion will also be a POI in the season.

If you had no idea Fortnite Remix was meant to be an OG version of Chapter 2, I wouldn’t blame you, as it sounds an awful lot like the Reload mode that was just added to the game this year. It’s not, though!

Interestingly, the trailer also teased that Juice Wrld is finally coming to Fortnite, although it’s not sure if he’ll be part of Remix or something a bit later down the line. Juice has long been rumoured to be joining Fortnite at some point, and it looks like that’s finally coming to pass in the very near future.
