Digital Turbine announces acquisition of ONE Store International, a subsidiary of ONE Store

Digital Turbine, a leader in mobile growth solutions, has announced its acquisition of ONE Store International, a global expansion arm of South Korea’s popular app marketplace, ONE Store. This acquisition marks a significant step in the efforts of both companies to expand ONE Store’s presence beyond Asia and introduce it to North America, Europe, and Latin America.
The two companies plan to create new technologies to bring the app store experience to iOS users
Back in February 2024, Digital Turbine (DT) bought shares in ONE Store, forming a strategic partnership. This was aimed at bringing DT’s user acquisition tools, like SingleTap, to South Korea, where ONE Store is the country’s second-largest app store. By leveraging this, the companies aim to enable smoother, one-tap app installations for developers who publish on ONE Store.
Furthermore, the two companies plan to develop new technologies to eventually bring the app store experience to iOS users. As the partnership grows, Digital Turbine and ONE Store are working together to build a more complete and competitive system that goes beyond the usual app store model. This will bring more value to developers and users while giving new ways to support the ecosystem’s growth.
The ONE Store already boasts a strong user base of 38 million and close to $1 billion in annual transactions and had previously stated its interest in taking on the App Store dominance of Apple and Google.
“This is more than just an app store expansion,” says Bill Stone, CEO at Digital Turbine. “It is an important step towards a fairer, more open mobile ecosystem where developers have the tools that they need in order to create a true alternative path for app growth,” he added.
