Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 Battle Pass rewards

Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 will bring a new set of rewards available through the Battle Pass which will cost 1000 VP ($10), just like all the previous Battle Passes.

However, several popular leaks in the community have leaked the various skin lines that’ll be a part of Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 Battle Pass. It’s also likely that the Tier 50 reward will be an axe melee skin with a black, gold, and red theme.

While there’s no official announcement about the new Battle Pass yet, we can expect it to have 50 Tiers, allowing players to unlock its rewards by earning XP through playing matches and completing dailies and weekly missions.

Valorant is a featured game on the Xbox Game Pass, and if you connect Riot and Xbox accounts, you’ll receive a 20% XP bonus for all matches that count towards your Battle Pass progression.

A few Valorant leakers and dataminers have claimed that a Controller Agent with the code name SmokeDancer will make its debut in Episode 8 Act 2. However, Riot is yet to officially announce anything about Agent 25 but we’ll make sure to provide an update here once there’s any development.

Naturally, if the skins come with new designs, sounds, and VFX upgrades, many in the community will be rushing to add VPs and secure the skins.

Balance Changes for Agents

Episode 8 Act 1 can bring significant changes to the Agent meta in Valorant. While Riot doesn’t have to tweak the weapons regularly, Agents require constant changes to ensure the meta stays fresh.

Patch 7.12, the last patch for Valorant in 2023, introduced a nerf for Skye’s Trailblazer while significantly buffing Gekko’s abilities. Whether the new Act will bring balance changes remains to be seen but if Riot decides to launch a new Agent, we can expect some balance changes for the Agents that are lagging behind in the current meta.
